Experiência fantástica: I had a fantastic stay at the resort. The staff were very friendly, professional, and genuinely interested in making sure our stay was delightful and memorable. I got the wrong room when I first arrived but that was fixed the following day. The breakfast buffet was simply a great start to the day. Can't speak to other restaurants on property. Pools and spa services exceeded my expectations. Great location: short shuttle/cab drive to center town and short walk to many beaches and Ponta Da Piedade. Highly recommend this resort.

Experiência fantástica: The best resort i stayed in Portugal! Breakfast was excellent, they pay attention on the details. A lof of option of fruit (pineapple papaya melon watermelon mango strawberry grapes pear etc, all were very sweet), they have chef to cook the omelette, very nice avocado, pancake salmon a lot of option from the bakery. The pool was very beautiful and outside you could walk around the coastline.

Experiência fantástica: Stayed here for six nights and loved it. The first thing that struck me was just how quiet and calm the place felt the whole time. It also never felt too busy which for me was great. The staff is very friendly, attentive, professional and out of your way. All spaces are well kept and well presented without trying to be overly luxurious. The breakfast buffet is good, the food is fresh and well prepared. Same for dinner (maybe a bit pricey but the quality makes up for it so you don’t feel ripped off by any means). My only remark is that the kids club, while perfectly adequate, seemed understaffed and a bit lacking in fun and energetic activities. My kid did like it though, but maybe an area that could be improved. Overall I’d recommend it and while I generally avoid repeat stays, I’d consider coming back.

Experiência fantástica: We are just back from a super holiday at Cascade Wellness Resort. We asked to move rooms and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. Our initial apartment was nice but didn't have much of a view. Our second was just stunning (1211) we had a big balcony off the kitchen, a roof terrace and a balcony off the bedroom looking over the pool. The kids pool is a game changer for families. Our kids loved playing in the sand and we enjoyed a rest watching them from the sun loungers. We were self catering so only ate at the buffet once but it was also superb. Finally it's a bit further out of Lagos than I hoped and with a 2&5 year old in the heat we used taxis back and forth instead of walking but they were inexpensive and easy to get. Within 15 min walk there was a great beach and a lovely cliff top walk to the lighthouse.

Experiência fantástica: Absolutely wonderful stay, beautiful room and facilities. Right beside the picturesque coastline with walking trails to Ponta da Piedade and beaches. It’s a 25min walk to the old town, however there is a regular shuttle service from the hotel and taxis are affordable. Would stay again!

Now we know there are such lovely rooms with walk in showers and nice views we will definitely be back. Shuttle service to town is also excellent. I already mentioned fabulous breakfast buffet and great pool. Just perfect

Experiência fantástica: We loved our stay at Cascade Wellness Resort. Everything was truly perfect. The grounds are well kept and gorgeous, the rooms VERY clean, comfortable and complete. The amenities they offer make the stay very relaxing, and completely matching its name "Cascade Wellness Resort". We both felt so rejuvenated after a long weekend. The breakfast every morning is totally worth it and was something we looked forward to every day! Last but not least, the staff is A++, very friendly, professional and attentive. They seem genuinely interested in guests having a pleasant experience. I can't wait to be back!!!

Experiência fantástica: This was the best place we stayed during our trip in Portugal, unfortunately just for one night. The interior, room, facilities everything is top notch. The receptionists are helpful and friendly and the breakfast buffet is one of the best I have seen in a 5-star establishment. We also enjoyed the food in the Gastropub, where the waiters were great and food delicous. We will recommend this place and will definitely come back!

We stayed in a 1bedroom apartment which was very clean it had a full kitchen if you wanted to eat in. We had dinner at the lighthouse restaurant which was very good. Beautiful boardwalk overlooking the ocean.

Experiência fantástica: Spent 10 amazing days in the apartment at the Cascade Resort. Location of the resort is one of the best in all Algarve with scenic views, lots of birds and beautiful hikes at the doorstep. Lagos downtown is 10 minutes by car or 30 minutes by foot. Apartment was well equiped (including Nespresso machine, dishwasher, washing machine, etc.) and daily room service. There is a heated swimming pool (+27C) and jacuzzi which is nice in February. Sauna and turkish bath is available as well as other spa services. Staff is friendly and heplful. Highly recommended!

Experiência fantástica: We had an amazing time at Cascade with our family last week. The staff were all so friendly and accommodating. The pools were beautiful and the coastal path was perfect for walking and running. The nearby beaches were fantastic- we loved praia de camilo. The kids club was excellent and included evening entertainment. My daughter loved Joanna, Paula and Sarah. We chose full board and the food was varied and delicious. The wait staff were brilliant and really put our young children at ease. Some of the activities needed advanced booking but this it totally understable with Covid, and in general most things were very flexible. It was the perfect holiday.

Experiência fantástica: Amazing hotel situated just outside Lagos with fantastic ocean views. We upgraded to a pool view room which also had sea views. The room was very spacious, the bed was huge and comfortable. The Nespresso machine was a nice touch. The only negative was the private sun terrace on room 126, which was a bit small and didn't get any sunlight, the walls were also in need of repair. The gym is well equipped and the staff (Nuno) were very friendly and helpful. One of the outdoor pools (at the spa) is heated which made it usable during our stay and the spa area is well sheltered from the wind. The location and views are stunning, there is direct access to the clifftop walking path and you can even walk into town (30-40 mins).

Experiência fantástica: Great accommodation! Superb friendly staff. Amazing spacious room (double with pool view), big comfortable bed and very clean. The pools are very nice too. The breakfast has everything you want (etagere, buffet or freshly made eggs, pancakes etc). The lighthouse bar has very good tapas and we had a very good diner at restaurant Senses too (3 courses for €38pp). There's also a very nice walk next to the hotel along the cliffs with stunning views. I never go back to a place I've been, but for Cascade I will make an exception :)

Staff excellent , facilities excellent and food was top notch (although very pricey for a pool side Menu). 16€ for a tomato pizza , €17 for a sandwich ! They also don’t sell kids snacks (ice lollies / crisps ect).

Experiência fantástica: We had 5 nights in this amazing resort, everything was perfect - a true 5 star experience. Right at the entrance they provide free bottled water which is a small detail but extremely appreciated - the reception staff was highly professional and friendly. Our room was large and perfectly clean, there was just a tiny bit on dust in the closet, it was no bother. Everything provided was of high quality (soaps, sleepers, bath robes, body lotion etc), the balcony was also large and peerfect to relax - a coffee maker available in the room with coffee pods was really nice. I would have appreciated if the bed was not twin mattresses, but honestly I only noticed on the third day.. so I was not a big deal. The breakfast had a wide variety of choices including fresh fruits, omelette made to order, everything you could wish for plus excellent service by the waiters - the view to the garden+pool from the table was the cherry on the cake ( there were little birds which came to get a tiny bite, they were soo funny and cute). With 3 pools at our disposal was very easy to find a spot to relax and enjoy the sun (towels are provided) - They were all great. We had dinner at their GastroPub - also excellent. The staff cleaning the rooms did a great job! I could see their attention to detail even though they missed a tiiiny tiny little spot mentioned earlier, kudos to them! Access to the beaches close by was so quick, I was truly amazed, one of the paths close to the golf course leads right to the trail on the coast which leads to grottos beaches and amazing views to the ocean. Praia do canavial was the closest one, the access trail though was not the easiest ( this is public area). A big thanks to the kind staff and all I can say is that I can't wait to be back.

Experiência fantástica: We spent 3 days at Cascade Resort and we had such a lovely time! The hotel is simply amazing with an incredible waterfall right in the entrance/lobby.The staff is very kind and always ready to help you with anything you need. Our room was very spacious and the bed was big and very comfortable. Our balcony was lovely and perfect to relax after a day exploring. They have 3 swimming pools, the main swimming pool which is huge, an heated swimming pool and third has actual sand and looks like you're at the beach! It's incredible! Breakfast is amazing, you can either sit in or outside, contemplating the main pool. There you can find a huge variety of pastry, fruits, breads, cold cuts, juices, coffees... We had dinner at Senses Restaurant and I must say the food is amazing there. They have a daily menu with a few different option for every course. The Hotel has direct access to trail that leads you to Ponta da Piedade, 10-15 mins walking. If you want to visit Ponta da Piedade this is definitely the best place to stay!

Excellent COVID-19 measurements. Makes me feel very safe. Very nice and heated pool area. The Etagere at breakfast with cheese ham fresh fruits and bread/croissants is a very good and stylish solution during Corona times. Thank you so far.

Experiência fantástica: It’s the best resort in Lagos. We extended our stay two times and decided to skip other destinations. It’s close to a very nice walking picturesque route and a hidden nudist GAY beach with a hidden stair between rocks. Very good breakfast, facilities, spacious rooms, swimming pool, nice and friendly staff. If we ever come again to the South of Portugal, it will be definitely Cascade.

Free Prosecco at buffet breakfast… big win . Very close to everything, but probably need a car or Uber to get to town.

Experiência fantástica: We stayed at Cascade for 3 nights and it was the highlight of our holidays in Lagos. The hotel lives up to the 5 star status and everything was just perfect. The room are modern and huge with a lovely balcony to relax and read a book after exploring the surrounding areas. The swimming pool area is amazing and the perfect place to relax. We loved to take some walks from the resort to Ponta da Piedade to enjoy the views. The breakfast is buffet style with a wide variety of local and international products. Every night we had dinner at Senses and besides having some extremely friendly staff, we loved all the meals we had there. The perfect place to relax in Lagos in a proper 5 star hotel experience. Highly recommended place to stay and we look forward to come back on our next holidays.

Experiência fantástica: Lovely place for our holiday. Staff are exceptional and the complex is beautifully maintained and so comfortable. They even sent a scrumptious chocolate cake for my wife on her birthday while we were there. Will very seriously consider returning next year.

Experiência fantástica: I signed up for a 7-day fitness training program and I have to say the service in the resort largely exceeded my expectations. The hotel kitchen adapted to my schedule so that I could have breakfast right after my morning session - whilst being very flexible with my dietary requirements. That said the AXN fitness team was by far the very best part of the experience. My plan was fully personalised from A to Z, and the coach and owner Michele really cared about getting the best out of me in his program. Not only did I massively improve my fitness but I also got to visit great places around Lagos - and most importantly: got to know great people. Would highly recommend to anyone!

Experiência fantástica: Clean, beautiful setting, amazing rooms, facilities are top notch, the most amazing and original pool we have ever seen: a beach/sand pool hybrid, our 3 year old loved it! Service was great, we loved our stay here. A golf driving range, with view of the ocean! The scenic walk around the resort is truly beautiful. Food is amazing, will review separately. If I must complain, the horrible door stopper in the bathroom, right next to the toilet bowl, I almost broke my toe three times on it before putting a towel on it for the rest of our stay. Experiência fantástica: Update Aug 2020: Things have got alot better. The staff are very attentive, you now don't have to wait to get a drink or order. Overall I am glad the comments have been addressed. If you want a quiet break in an upscale hotel in Lagos this is the place to stay. Food is excellent quality in the Gastropub, cant recommend enough. Hotel is still in great condition. It is very well looked after. Adding their coronavirus measures are excellent. Mandatory masks in public hotel areas. Everything cleaned down regularly. They couldn't be more conscious of the virus threat. Changed score to 5 stars. Looking forward to more visits in 2021. Thankyou. Ok...so this may be a long review...first up this is about our tenth time here so plenty of experience. First the good bits. Nice small ish hotel. Prob about 50 rooms or so. Great pool by the main hotel complex. Rooms are v nice, especially the Asian style ones. Good size, nice bathrooms and have held up well over the last 10 years or so. Big beds, great Aircon. Has a good size underground parking too which is free. Since we were last here it looks like the hotel has addressed a lot of the criticisms of the past. There is now a pool bar and pool service for drinks and food. They have added a new restaurant, the gastropub and have relocated their Senses restaurant. They have added a new wing with roughly another 15 rooms. Now for the NOT so good points. It really just comes down to service and waiting times. If you want to eat or drink you have to literally think about it an hour before u want it. That includes asking for the bill.. it's not as if they dont have enough staff. There are plenty of them, it's just that they dont seems to do anything. My experience is that you have one "boss" and they are the only ones that can actually take orders, bring the bill etc..all the others just run around and ignore you. I am all for a relaxed ,chilled out expereince, but to sit at a table and have to wait 10 mins for a menu then another 10 mins to wait to order a drink then a further 10 mins to get the drink then another 10 mins to order food and then wait upto 45 mins to get food just makes the relaxed environment turn into stress. If they could ever just get this bit right then this place is one of the best I have stayed in, in Europe. I can tell it's not just me, every other nationality of person that I have met ends up doing the same thing. You end up just getting up and having to go and pay yourself etc.... other than that, nice people and nice hotel.

Experiência fantástica: 5 stars for a reason. My family stayed in an apartment. It is well furnished with a full kitchen, laundry, super king bed, jet full size tub, and two patios one on either side so you can choose sun or shade. The location is ideal being just a few minutes drive from anywhere in Lagos. The hotel sits on the Atlantic just outside the town which makes access superb. The hotel is immaculately kept. The pools (all three) are fantastic with one full of sand in the shallow end for play. The apartment is fantastic!! I highly recommend!!

Experiência fantástica: We stayed here for four nights and it was the perfect spot. It is centrally located for all the great beach spots and we we're able to walk to pretty much everything. And we could use their free shuttle to hitch a ride back or to the primary destinations. They did let us use their towels for the beaches and activities we did off the hotel grounds, which was also awesome. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant options were very good. Senses had the best dinner and was worth the wine pairing as well. Their Portuguese night was our favorite. They had a buffet option that included wine and beer and was perfect for those times we did not know exactly what we wanted. The breakfast was delicious and they had a great variety. We did not use the spa, but the pool, hot tub, steam room, etc...was all included and we did not have to pay extra, which was great. The hotel room was very nice and the only issue we had was the shower door leaked, but we had plenty of towels for the situation, and the air conditioning would only go as low as 19° C. I would have liked lower, but that is my personal preference.

Experiência fantástica: Overall, this is a wonderful hotel and we will return. It has a welcoming feel about the property and the location is superb. We booked a 14 night stay with our small children in an apartment. Upon check in, we were offered an upgrade to a pool view. I took the upgrade but we had a few minor issues with our room - the hotel refunded the cost of our upgrade. Superb customer experience!

Experiência fantástica: My two daughters, grandson and myself visited the Cascade Wellness Centre for four days during the Easter holidays on a half board basis. In consequence, we were able to visit Senses as part of the package on three consecutive nights for dinner. All four of us loved it. The restaurant is on the first floor of the hotel. It is a comfortable venue with an attractive layout and welcoming ambience. It looks out across the pool and grounds and must be delightful during the day. In mid-April the crowds were not evident in vast numbers although the restaurant was quite busy, and therefore you would be advised to book. I suspect this would be imperative in the summer months. We booked on arrival for the three evenings. The service was very good indeed. Any waiting was quite acceptable and the food did not take long to arrive. All the staff were most welcoming, friendly and attentive. They were happy to take photographs of us and kept out wine and water topped up. Jose deserved a medal. He was kind, professional, helpful, knowledgeable, good with the children and charming. He took an obvious delight in explaining to us what we were going to eat. A star! Half board allows you to have the chef’s set menu of five courses. You can go a la carte if you prefer with a 30 euro/person credit but we didn’t do so. There is a good choice for most courses and the menu changes daily. A children’s menu is available for the little ones. My grandson gave it the thumbs up. The food is characteristically Mediterranean/Portuguese. Wine or soft drinks and water are included in the package. The wine is perfectly adequate. Many of the courses seem like a set of tasters but at the end of the meal, you feel that you have dined well. The menu is adventurous and you are given the opportunity to try lots of different tastes and wonderful flavours. The food is beautifully presented too. Not all the food will appeal to you but much will. One daughter disliked the eels whereas the other loved them. You may shudder at the beautifully coloured barnacles but I thought them splendid. Beetroot may not be your thing but what the chef did with it was a culinary delight. So, expect lots of different tastes and be prepared to be challenged as you embark on a gastronomic experience. Senses may however not be the place for you if you prefer something simple, unadventurous and straight-forward. This hotel is beautifully situated. The grounds and garden are an impeccable delight. There are glorious views of the coast close by and access to a couple of smashing beaches. You will need to catch the shuttle bus to visit Lagos, hire a taxi or come here in your own car. It is just a bit too far for walking there. We stay close, enjoying the peace and quiet. If you were here for longer and wished to explore, you need to be aware that the hotel is a tad isolated from urban centres. The hotel itself is very attractive with beautiful décor and a relaxing ambience. The rooms are huge and well-appointed with wonderful walk-in showers. This is true of the dining facilities too. Breakfasts is superb. The staff at Reception are efficient, friendly and very helpful. The first quibble we had was that our rooms were not ready. We had to wait over an hour but were offered a sincere apology and a free drink and something to eat on the terrace. We were happy with that. There are three gorgeous swimming pools but two are unheated and freezing cold in April. This was disappointing for my grandson. Children were permitted to use the third pool which is heated and linked to the Wellness Centre but only until noon. After that it is adults only. I appreciate the rationale behind this policy but it is tough on the kids who were unable to use the other pools in April. There would be no problem in high summer of course but it would be so much better if one of the other pools was heated too. Note that the heated pool had a very rough surface which can cause nasty grazes

Experiência fantástica: The most luxurious and enjoyable hotel we've visited in Portugal so far. The staff is always very helpful, breakfast is wonderful and rolls sums pools are perfect. Very enjoyable for families- we were here with our 3&5 daughters and had a blast. Highly recommended!

It has everything from tennis courts, 3 swimming pools, billiard room, day beds, etc etc. A walk away from the beaches and the most gorgeous views. I only wish we had more time here. The staff is so friendly! We were already checked out and had a flight later around 8pm, so we wanted to go to the beach. They actually let us come back to the resort after and use the shower room so we could get cleaned up. Absolutely stunning place will definitely come back. The breakfast buffet is also one of the best I've seen. Lunch was ok, wasn't my favorite but the breakfast was amazing!!

Experiência fantástica: We stayed here for part of our honeymoon and enjoyed it! The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice/helpful. "Portuguese night" at the main restaurant was fun and the breakfast buffet was delicious. The main pool was nice and relaxing as well, though a little cold for our liking. We loved how centrally located the resort is to both old town Lagos and several great beaches. Overall, this is a great place and we can't wait to come back!
