Experiência fantástica: The staff at the hotel are wonderful. From checking in, valet, restaurant staff to checking out the staff was friendly and helpful. The rooms are big and nicely appointed. The breakfast is amazing and having dinner at the hotel one night id say one of the best steaks ever! We had an incident one of the 4 nights with a critter and the terrace. The hotel took care of the issue quickly and made it all better. Would we stay again. Absolutely!

Experiência positiva: Upscale resort with good amenities and service. We opted for a suite which was very roomy and comfortable. Beds are good and the bathroom is large, clean and well stocked (towels soaps shampoo etc). Breakfast is plesant, tasty and has good variety. The bar is also nice but the drinks are rather pricey. We found the switches for the lighting rather peculiar. Some would turn on/off multiple lights in different rooms, while others appeared to do nothing Service is very good. All the staff are friendly and accomodating. Location is great as you are steps from the ocean and algarve cliffs. You will need a car or other transport to get into town.

Experiência negativa: We came here for vacation in August. Everything was fine until my girlfriend went to the spa.Before the massage, she filled out their mandatory medical disclosure form. She clearly documented that she'd recently had ankle surgery and wrote down the specific area that should NOT be touched. It was right there on their form in black and white.The therapist massaged that exact area anyway. My girlfriend experienced immediate, intense pain and could barely walk. We had to cut our vacation short, drive back to Lisbon instead of taking the train, and get emergency medical care.Three months later: Still in physical therapy multiple times per week Over €3,000 in medical expenses not covered by insurance Can't walk normally or work properly Constant daily pain Her orthopedic specialist and physiotherapist both confirmed IN WRITING that the spa treatment directly caused the deterioration The hotel's response:We provided all medical documentation. We tried to resolve this privately for THREE MONTHS. They conducted an insurance investigation - we thought they were taking it seriously.Then their lawyer sends us one sentence: "We assume no responsibility whatsoever."Even though THEY HAVE THE MEDICAL FORM in their own files proving she explicitly warned them not to touch that area.What gets me the most:This isn't some random accident. This is a form that THEY make you fill out supposedly "for your safety." She took the time to fill it out properly, to warn them, to protect herself.And they just... ignored it. And when their staff's mistake caused real harm? Lawyers and denial.Warning to other guests:If you have ANY medical condition, be extremely careful with their spa. Even if you fill out their medical form and clearly document what they shouldn't do, there's no guarantee they'll follow it.And if they injure you? You'll be on your own with months of rehab, thousands in medical bills, and a hotel that categorically refuses to take responsibility despite having written proof.My girlfriend has been in pain every single day for 3 months. She still can't walk properly. We just wanted a relaxing vacation.The saddest part? They had multiple chances to do the right thing. They chose lawyers over accountability.
Experiência negativa: I am sorry to tell you that locate senior management were useless. The apartment unit was great but the washroom is poorly designed. If you are on toilet you can be easy hit by the door and shower leaks all over the floor aside from the height to get in. My wife and I almost fell out of the bath shower. I am 5ft 8inches and I had a hard time getting in out of the tub. This is waiting for a law suit from a guest I am sorry to tell you. After multiple discussion and front staff told me that I was not the first guest to complain. Local management did very little to resolve the issue. I had to ask for a stool and suggested they redesign bathtub with a bar as well a platform so guest can safely entrance the bathtub.

Experiência negativa: The hotel has a good location because it’s close to some really cool walking trails. However, I would not recommend staying here. We booked a one bedroom suite with a pool view but none of their suites have a shower. It is a bathtub. Which normally I would be fine with. However, the bathtub is so high that getting in and out of it is an absolute safety hazard. It is an actually a Jacuzzi tub with a hand held shower wand, which slants forward so you cannot even get under the showerhead. It’s a very small handheld shower and the water sprays everywhere so the floor of the entire bathroom becomes wet and both me and my husband slipped numerous times trying to get in and out. I would highly recommend not staying at this place, because management does nothing to resolve the issue. They basically said I have to pay extra for a two bedroom suite which has a shower. And we already spent an arm and a leg on this one bedroom suite. I have travelled all around the world and never have I received service is poor is this with no resolution available. They were completely rude. And basically said the shower was constructed to their standards. When I invited them to try and step into it, they refused to do so.

Experiência fantástica: 포르투갈 여행의 대미를 장식했던 라고스! 일주일 이상 포르투갈 전국을 너무 긴 시간 렌터카로 이동을 했기 때문에 여행의 피로를 풀기 위해 라고스의 숙소로 Cascade Wellness Resort를 선택했고, 친절한 직원들의 따스함, 객실의 청결도, 객실에서 보이는 대서양, 포르투갈 여행 중 가장 만족스러웠던 조식뷔페까지 정말 8일간의 여독을 다 풀 수 있는 만족스러운 숙소였다. 원래 2박을 머물기로 했으나 모국의 어머니께서 갑자기 위독하셔서 하루밖에 머물지 못했으나, 다음 스페인 여행에서 반드시 라고스의 Cascade Wellness Resort를 하루라도 다시 경험해 볼 것이다. 곧 다시 만납시다. 호텔 직원 여러분! 짧았지만 감사했습니다.

Experiência positiva: Wir haben einen Familienurlaub mit Schwager/Schwägerin und ihren Kindern in einer Villa verbracht. Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen, wenn auch das Wasser des Pool der Villa bisschen kalt war (im Oktober) Villa ist gut ausgestattet, auch Kaffeekapseln, Wein und etwas süssem zur Begrüßung. Wir haben jedoch nie gekocht, und das Frühstück war ja auch inklusive, somit haben wir eigentlich die Küche nicht wirklich benutzt. Das Essen im Hotel ist aber von sehr guter Qualität, auch die Kinder waren begeistert von der Auswahl, ein bisschen höher im Preis, aber sehr gut. Morgens beim Frühstück gab es teilweise ein bisschen zu warten bis Tische wieder frei wurden, aber dies liegt nicht am Hotel, sondern an den Gästen die Tische nicht frei geben nachdem sie fertig sind. Wir würden wieder kommen, auch die Lage hat uns sehr gut gefallen

Experiência fantástica: Wir haben einen Familienurlaub mit Kindern und Großeltern gemacht und haben die Ferien sehr genossen. Gefallen hat uns: - Lage der Hotelanlage mit direktem Zugang zum Küstenweg, wo wir häufig zum Sonnenuntergang den traumhaften Weg mit Blick auf die Küstenformationen der Algarve genießen konnte. Auch die Strände in der Nähe sind sehr schön und schnell erreichbar. - Die Anlage ist weitläufig und trotz vieler Familien ruhig. Es verteilt sich gut. Die Pools waren niemals überfüllt. Unseren Kindern hat besonders gut der Pool mit Sandstrand gefallen. - Parkplätze sind genug verfügbar. Auch Tiefgaragen, falls es mal wärmer wird. - Die Ferienwohnung war großzügig, praktisch eingerichtet und bot sehr viel Stauraum mit schönem Balkon und Dachterasse. - sehr leckeres Frühstück mit viel Auswahl. - sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Servicepersonal, egal ob im Restaurant, am Empfang oder bei der Instandhaltung (wir hatten ein paar Probleme mit Klimaanlage und Licht, die am gleichen Tag behoben wurden). - Fitnessstudio für Hotelstandards gut ausgestattet (mit ein bisschen Abzug in der B Note siehe unten). - die Kinderbetreuung lief auch reibungslos und die Betreuer:innen waren sehr nett. Unsere Kinder haben sich wohl gefühlt. Es wird ein neuer Bereich für die Kinderbetreuung gebaut. Die Bauarbeiten konnten wir von unserem Balkon verfolgen, aber leider konnten wir den neuen Bereich noch nicht nutzen. Es wird aber bestimmt schön. - Wellnessbereich ist überschaubar (Pool, Whirlpool, eine Sauna, ein Dampfbad und den Massage- Beautybereich), aber schön. Kinder dürfen von 8 bis 10 Uhr morgens auch rein und dürfen den beheizten Pool und Whirlpool mit benutzen. Zu den Verbesserungsmöglichkeiten (ein bisschen meckern auf hohem Niveau, aber vielleicht lässt sich ja das ein oder andere umsetzen): - Hier und da blättert schon etwas der Lack ab (Außenfassade) und einige Einrichtungsgegenstände weisen starke Gebrauchsspuren auf und an einigen Stellen der Fußgängerwege sind Steine locker. Diese stellen insbesondere für kleinere Kinder Stolperfallen da. - Preisniveau für das Restaurant im Vergleich Preis Leistung für das Umfeld eher hoch. Wir haben viel selbst gekocht, waren im Umfeld essen oder haben uns Essen in die Anlage bestellt (funktioniert per UberEats super). - Es wäre toll für Allergiker (hier glutenunverträglich), wenn das Ei nicht mit den Pancakes auf einer Fläche gebraten würde. Daher konnte mein Mann leider kein Spiegelei und Omlette zum Frühstück essen. - Fitnessstudio: leider gab es häufig keine frischen Handtücher und die Bemühungen des Personals neue zu besorgen hielt sich in Grenzen. Der Fitnessbereich ist schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen (siehe Teppich im Außenbereich). Außen war viel Laub, für das sich niemand verantwortlich fühlte. - Zeiten Zimmerservice: ich weiß nicht, ob es möglich ist das zeitlich besser zu koordinieren, dass der tägliche Service immer zu ähnlichen Zeiten kommt. Hier war es immer unterschiedlich und man konnte den Tag nicht gut planen, um das Personal in Ruhe in die Wohnung zu lassen. Manchmal mussten wir spontan etwas hektisch mit 3 Kindern an den Pool oder Spielplatz flüchten. Für uns überwiegen auf jeden Fall die Vorteile in diesem Urlaub und wir hatten eine schöne, erholsame Zeit und würden wiederkommen. Vielen Dank.

Experiência fantástica: We spent an amazing week at Cascade and LOVED it. We had a sea view suite for our family and it was two big rooms and the staff put an extra single bed for our son and a pack n play crib for our baby. It was all set up so perfectly for our family and we loved having the second room and bathroom for a living room and patio view a view for evenings and sunrises (perfect for us parents of little ones). The breakfast was amazing, delicious and had SO MUCH variety. The restaurant and bar upstairs was amazing too. The kids club and pools were also amazing. Everything was amazing! And last but not least, the staff were top tier. They truly care about their guests and want everyone to have a great experience. Every single person we met who works there went over and above to make our time special. We are already planning on coming back. One specific stand out staff member is the young lady with longer blonde hair who greeted us in the mornings at breakfast. I think she’s one of the head team members, and she was so lovely to our family and the way she treats everyone she works with and all the guests was really over and above. I wish I could remember her name! She was truly incredible.

Experiência fantástica: Location, location, location. If you don't mind walking 15 minutes or you really want somewhere quiet, this is a fantastic resort. It grew on me while we stayed here, when we first checked in we were a bit worried because there were a few things that needed a little repair, but after staying - the rooms are really nice, cleaned each day, very well appointed. The patio was amazing and we spent time on it drinking wine each day. The location is again and having the back gate out onto the walking path was perfect. We walked East to the lighthouse/grotto for sunsets and we walked West for the less busy beach. Walking into old town Lagos was definitely a longer walk of about 30-40 mins. The staff were all very friendly. And drove ahead of us in a golf cart to check the door keys worked. The biggest question - would we start here again? Absolutely yes! We're looking forward to it.

Experiência fantástica: We loved every minute of our stay here at Cascade Wellness Resort. The food at the restaurants were tasty. Definitely recommend a dinner at Senses - fine dinning that took us on a food and wine tour around Portugal. The location of the resort was perfect for us. There are cliffs and trails all along the ocean. We could easily walk to Ponte de Piedad, Praia Camillo (~15mins), Praia Dona Ana (~30 mins), Praia Estudantes (30mins), and the city center (~45mins). We also loved the services at the spa. Such kind and professional staff - we felt amazing after our relaxing massages, the pool, and enjoyed both the dry and hot saunas.

Experiência fantástica: TL;DR: Cascade Wellness is a fantastic family-friendly base in the Algarve with spacious apartments, great amenities, and a unique sandy-beach pool the kids loved. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone wanting comfort and easy access to Lagos. Full Review: We stayed 5 days and couldn’t be happier with the location and setup. Having an apartment instead of a standard hotel room gave our family extra space, a full kitchen, and a washer/dryer—saving money on meals and luggage space. Our boys loved having their own room, and we enjoyed having our own space as well. The resort is very family-friendly, with many young families around, and the staff were friendly and fluent in English. The highlight for our kids was the pool with a sandy beach entry—a clever touch that meant they could play in sand without us having to go to the beach every time. There’s also a well-equipped gym, a games room, and a restaurant on site. Only one drawback: the resort has just one main TV, so sports fans may need to go into town to watch games. The location is excellent for exploring Lagos and the Algarve coast. The old town of Lagos is charming (though parking can be tricky—use the north-side garage), and from here it’s easy to explore other towns. We drove down from Lisbon, but Faro airport is an easy alternative. Overall, Cascade Wellness offered comfort, space, and amenities that made our family trip smooth and memorable

Experiência positiva: We had a lovely week on the Algarve using Cascade as a base to visit the area. The cliff top location is stunning and the pools were pleasant. Staff were friendly and welcoming. The restaurant staff were great with my son. Our week was disrupted by a faulty door lock, while quick to try a rectify when the problem first occured once it was ongoing it took a while for a different room to be offered (grateful to the manager who arrange the new room). The double room otherwise was very spacious, decor a bit tired/needing a top up coat of paint in places. Unfortunately our room had a generator running outside which provided a free white noise machine. Wellness wise, nice gym, spa facilities free to guests underwhelming (jacuzzi was out of order the week we're there). Food was good all week and great options to walk out to if you don't mind a 20min leg stretch. TL;DR - Nice location, rooms spacious but a little tired, food good, wellness maybe, staff excellent. Our room had issues hence the lower room score.

Experiência positiva: Rita at the front desk was there one saving grace! Restaurant was mediocre at best service was deplorable. Breakfast buffet was actually fantastic and the service was great. There is no way this is a five star resort! They need to work on their service to be anywhere more than a three star.

Experiência negativa: Just left this property today. When we checked it at a rate of 359.00 Euro, they took us to a room that was old, beat up furniture, dingy, I asked for another room. Then I was offered a room that was moldy/ musty (AC does not run in these rooms if no one is in them). I said I'm not staying in it, only option I had was to pay more for what they called a renovated room.After I paid 50.00 Euro more, we noticed the shower had black mold all over one side of the inside shower-gross. No one cared..they just wanted our money..We just left the Domes and Tivoli paid far less with hotel credits. Staff helpful, property amazying and fresh, and much better breakfast. This was a rip off and no one cared. Totally frustrated, I will see what other properties they own and make sure to stay away.

Experiência fantástica: Best location in the town. First impressions were that the hotel was a bit dated and we had issues with getting the room cleaned. However the staff are all very friendly and professional, they rectified each mistake and we had the most peaceful relaxing stay with beautiful breakfast/dinner. Experiência negativa: Welcome to the Ant Farm!! I am not one to leave negative reviews, but my experience at Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos, Portugal, was so profoundly appalling that I feel a moral obligation to warn future guests. If this review saves even one traveler from enduring what we did, it will have served its purpose. Where do I begin? The "luxury" room we were given was teeming with ants. Not just a stray one here or there—ants in the bed, ants in our luggage, and, most shockingly, my sister woke up covered in them after the hotel claimed to have “resolved” the problem. Guest Services dismissed our concerns, offering hollow reassurances that the issue had been “taken care of,” while it very clearly had not. Adding insult to infestation, the room itself was in unacceptable condition: a dangerously sharp wooden splinter sticking up from the floor (truly a hazard), a stained sofa, and a general lack of cleanliness that was beyond comprehension for a so-called five-star establishment. The staff, unfortunately, only made matters worse. One breakfast attendant’s behavior was so astonishingly rude it left us speechless. The guest services representative who “assisted” us belittled our concerns, repeating the robotic phrase “I understand” while doing absolutely nothing to rectify the situation. The hotel's grand gesture to remedy my sister waking up covered in ants? A refund of €19 for breakfast. Pathetic. I can only assume there was a mix-up when they labeled this property as a “five-star hotel,” because what we experienced would barely qualify as two-star service. In fact, I think they’re dyslexic and mixed up 5 stars with 2. This was, without exaggeration, the worst service I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. I strongly urge future travelers to book elsewhere if they value basic cleanliness, safety, and respect.

Experiência fantástica: Our first stay at Cascade Wellness & Spa This was our first time staying at Cascade Wellness & Spa, and overall, it has been a lovely experience. Upon arrival, we received a very warm welcome, along with a voucher for a complimentary welcome drink – such a nice touch! The hotel itself is beautiful, and the courtyard in the center, surrounded by pools, creates a relaxing atmosphere. We do feel it could be even more charming with a bit more greenery, which would make the pool area truly perfect. Breakfast was one of the highlights for us – it exceeded our expectations. The variety, quality, and cleanliness were all excellent. Our room was in a great location with a spacious terrace overlooking the courtyard, which we really enjoyed. As for housekeeping, there is definitely room for improvement. We’d like to kindly suggest that staff always check the “Do Not Disturb” sign before knocking, as this was overlooked a couple of times. We had dinner at the hotel buffet on our first night, and the food was very tasty, diverse, and everything was kept very clean – a great dining experience. However, when we asked for the bill, we noticed an additional €5 charge. Upon inquiry, we were told it was a new policy related to gratuities. While we appreciate the explanation, we believe tips should always remain optional for guests, and we were pleased that the amount was removed when we brought it up. A similar situation happened at the outdoor pool, which surprised us as well. We also wanted to try the spa facilities, especially since we were told the outdoor pool in the courtyard had heated water. Unfortunately, when we visited on a cold and windy day, the water was quite cold. When we asked the spa staff about it, we were told it heats up automatically and they would check with reception, but it didn’t seem to get resolved during our visit. Lastly, while most of the staff were polite, it would make a big difference if those working at the pool area greeted guests with a smile – it really adds to the overall atmosphere. All in all, we love the location of this hotel and had a pleasant experience. With a few small improvements, it could easily go from great to truly exceptional.

Experiência positiva: Some things are really good (the main pool) and some things a bit disappointing (half the stuff in our apartment didn't work, some of the things we requested that should've been standard - cushions for the loungers - were never supplied). Experiência positiva: Service was 5 star, very kind and helpful staff. The resort however is aging, rooms and common areas can use some modernizing and there is no luxury 5 star feel to them. The gym is bigger than expected but located in a different building that seems to be slowly dying otherwise with non functional pool and decaying surroundings. Breakfast was plentiful but reminiscent of the cafeteria, large area filled with patrons and children. Spilled coffee by staff didn’t get cleaned up . We were told to not take any food outside the restaurant and also were given cards to exchange for towels daily, both scarcity oriented requests that again did not contribute to feeling luxurious or 5 star. Perhaps there’s an issue with towel theft or food theft. Overall, it’s an aging resort that needs an upgrade. Compliments to wonderful staff but property needs help.
Experiência fantástica: Was definitely concerned over some recent reviews I had read before we arrived, but we had a spectacular time. I can only evaluate our two apartments (1303 and 1312 - there were six of us). There were definitely a few stray flies/mosquitoes/ants but hardly anything to worry about. The apartments were extremely well furnished, the GastroPub restaurant had outstanding food, drinks, and service, and the pool was very inviting. The entire place had a relaxed feel. I would not hesitate to return.
Experiência positiva: Cascade is a resort style spread up property in Lagos. They have two nice swimming pools and Spa complex. Very nice breakfast area (indoor and outdoor) with lots of options. This hotel is under staffed hence do not expect any quick service from them. It’s not a value for money.

Experiência negativa: The resort must have been good 14 years ago when it was originally opened but at the minute everything is falling apart. We booked one bedroom apartments which were very old and nothing alike the pictures we saw on the official website of the resort. We were then transferred to rooms with sea view, which we thought are much nicer, but again - very old furniture, poor servicing and to top it off - 4 days without a working air conditioning due to 'some major failure' and 'big teams of technicians working on the problem 24/7'... Surprisingly the food in the restaurants was very very good and some of the staff member were very friendly and competent unlike others. In general, total mismacth between expectations and reality. Some of the staff can certainly offer a 5 star service, but the resort needs a huge investment to get up to scratch to a 5 star welness & spa resort.

Experiência negativa: A minha experiência no hotel cascade foi considerada mediana. Em primeiro lugar, o bar do hotel não tem disponível o ar condicionado, o que impossibilita uma boa estadia no mesmo. De seguida, há inúmeras espécies de insetos,o que causa distúrbio aos hóspedes no bar. Por fim, ainda no bar, a imperial é vendida pelos empregados como sendo bastante refrescante todavia é precisamente o oposto. Em relação ao hotel em si não tenho oquê apontar, mas fica aí as criticas ao bar do hotel, que a meu ver é um dos pontos negativos do hotel.
Experiência positiva: This was our first stay at Cascade. Overall we had a very enjoyable experience but there were a few areas that we would point out as opportunities for improvement. The hotel website shows images of lush greenery around the complex which was not evident at all, in fact there were many areas that had obviously not had any irrigation and in the lobby there is a running video which does not mirror the outside areas. The room was a lovely size but again our sea view overlooked a dry and barren area including what appears to have been a golf driving range. The pools were lovely and there were always plenty of sunbeds available. However the service at the pool was hit and miss and mostly we had to go to the bar ourselves to place an order.

Experiência positiva: Not sure why this is a 5 star hotel. 2 bedroom suites are dated and worn. We had a leaking toilet and a room that needed some paint/ freshening up. The hotel is also not very close to a beach and there is no shuttle to town or beach- wish they told you to ideally rent a car. Also disappointed there was no view from the room, and the pools were cold even the heated pool and hot tub. Staff were friendly but overall not what we expected from a 5 star resort.

I celebrated my birthday there about 2 months ago and what can I say… they were so kind and made me a cake, offered a bottle of champagne and a meal at their restaurant which is usually worth a lot and wow! Just amazing!! So I want to say thank you so much again, you guys are amazing and I 100% recommend this hotel! Everyone was so nice, the room was amazing so everything was 10/10

Experiência positiva: The setting above the cliffs of Portugal and access to the trails is incredible. Service great. But this hotel is definitely in need of a little update. Golf course looked dead, hot tub broken, very few pool chairs, gate that was supposed to be secure to exit and enter hotel grounds from trail broken. It wasn’t bad in any way, just could use a little refresh. However, the thing that actually made it so I wouldn’t return to this hotel was the fact there is no outlet or plug in bathroom to plug in any curling iron or hair appliance, not was there a plug anywhere in room by a mirror to do so. It also really bothered me that at a 5 star hotel they regulate how cool I can keep my temperature in my room. I’m paying a lot of money to stay here and if I’d like my room at 19, I should be able to set it at that. I’ve never stayed anywhere that made it so I could only lower my temperature to 21.

Experiência fantástica: The staff is great and very attentive. The on site restaurants serve good food and the breakfast buffet is extensive. The location is a bit away from the Old Town, but the views behind the hotel and easy access to the hiking trails to see the sites of the Algarve is an easy trade off for needing a Taxi or Uber.

Experiência fantástica: Such a gorgeous hotel, we loved our stay here. The rooms are beautiful and spacious, as is the outdoor pool. Easy access to a cliff walk. There is free parking at the front of the hotel as well. We had breakfast in the hotel each morning and there is a good variety on offer. We were in Lagos for my husbands birthday and were surprised with a bottle of prosecco and chocolate strawberries in our room on the day, a lovely gesture and much appreciated. We would definitely stay here when we next visit Lagos!

Experiência fantástica: Super Apartment mit 3-Zimmern gehabt. An Haushaltsgeräten alles vorhanden. Zwei große Badezimmer und ein extra WC. Große Küche und Balkon vorhanden. Die Dachterrasse kann man bei sonnigen Wetter toll zum Sonnen nutzen. Ein toller Ort an der Algarve. In dem Restaurant war unser Essen super lecker. Zimmer und die Anlage stets sauber. Perfekt für einen Familienurlaub. Direkter Zugang zur Küste. Traumhaft. Man kann sich kaum mehr wünschen.

Experiência positiva: The hotel is beautifully located – it really doesn’t get any better than this at the Algarve. The setting is absolutely stunning. The rooms were another highlight: very clean, bright, and tastefully furnished. We felt comfortable right away. Special thanks to the reception staff, who were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, there were also a few disappointments. The wellness area does not meet the standards expected from a hotel in this category. There is no indoor relaxation area, so there’s nowhere to lie down or unwind when the weather is bad. The saunas are quite run-down and poorly maintained. Most frustrating was the staff member in the spa, who was extremely unfriendly and even refused to give me a locker for my valuables – claiming they were all in use, although I was the only guest there and many lockers were visibly empty. Another issue was the breakfast restaurant. When the weather was bad, we had to wait up to an hour just to get a table. That’s simply not acceptable for a hotel of this level – especially first thing in the morning. Overall, it’s a beautiful resort with an unbeatable location and plenty of charm, but there is definitely room for improvement in both the spa and breakfast service.

Experiência fantástica: An amazing stay! The location is perfect—just steps away from beautiful beaches and scenic hiking paths. The service was top-notch, the amenities were fantastic, and the food was really good. We had such a great time! The only downside? The “chocolate” karub they put on your pillow each night. Trust me, DON’T make the mistake of putting that in your mouth—it’s absolutely disgusting! But aside from that little hiccup, everything else was perfect. Highly recommend this hotel!

Experiência negativa: Unfortunately not familyfriendly- but you cant know untill you are here. We are currently staying at the hotel. The staff is friendly, the room is lovely and spacious, and the bathroom amenities are from L’Occitane — everything is very clean. The only odd thing is that the hotel markets itself as a wellness destination, which is a bit of a stretch. It only has a tiny jacuzzi and a very small steam area. Unfortunately, the weather hasn’t been great — obviously not the hotel’s fault. However, it’s disappointing that there’s only one heated pool, and children are only allowed in it from 8 to 10 a.m. Breakfast runs until 10:30 a.m., so as you can imagine, all the parents rush early in the morning to satisfy the kids’ desire to use the “forbidden” pool, and then race to breakfast, which leads to long lines and chaos. It would make a huge difference if the hotel were a bit more flexible and added an additional time slot in the afternoon for children to use the pool. Our room overlooks the pool, and we’ve seen that only three or four adults use it in the afternoon — a real shame the hotel doesn’t take this into account. As well they have 2 big Fusballcourts - and you see this on the marketing video, but oh surprise- children are aswell not allow to use it -/. In the end, it’s families who tend to spend more at hotels, and I’ve heard many other families say they wouldn’t return because of this rule. Neither will we. Everything else — the food, the surroundings — is excellent. It’s just a pity that this issue impacts the overall experience so much.
Experiência fantástica: Wir haben unsere Zeit hier sehr genossen, es gibt viele Angebote etwas zu unternehmen oder im Resort zu bleiben. Der Spa ist klein, aber fein. Die Massagen sind super professionell. Das Frühstück ist grandios (wenngleich etwas trubelig), es gibt wirklich ALLES und noch mehr. Auch die Restaurants sind klasse, teils eher hochpreisig, aber auch gerechtfertigt. Alles ist total gepflegt. Die Lage toll. Mitarbeiter*innen absolut professionell und zuvorkommend. Selten haben wir uns so wohl gefühlt. Auch für Kinder ist vieles geboten (Kids Club ab 3 Jahren, tolle Pools). Alles in allem: jederzeit wieder, auf allen Ebenen zu empfehlen!

Experiência fantástica: We had a wonderful and relaxing stay. The LOCATION is beautiful, the hotel is situated on a cliff and offers lovely walks in nature or jogging opportunities. You can easily walk into town (~2 km) or take a 10-minute taxi ride to Lagos. The HOTEL is very beautiful and has a luxurious lobby with marble. The ROOM was of high quality, everything worked perfectly and it was very spacious and above all wonderfully quiet. The terrace was almost as large as the room and equipped with lounge chairs and a small table. The bathroom products were also of very good quality (well-known brand). The BREAKFAST buffet was not as large as we are used to from other resorts (which I wouldn't necessarily consider negative), but there's something for everyone. The RESTAURANTS are very good, we ate at the pub and it was really delicious. The STAFF was consistently professional, very friendly and accommodating, as was the service in general. We appreciated the two (!) bottles of water provided daily. The WELLNESS AREA has a heated pool, sauna, Turkish steam bath. We booked a massage and facial treatment, both of which were also of high quality. The entire process was uncomplicated and pleasant. There is a separate FITNESS STUDIO with everything you normally need. You can sign up for various courses (Pilates, boot camp, etc.) - very cool! We used the tennis courts several times, which are a bit older but good enough for us beginners to play. All in all, really great, we would love to come back.

Experiência fantástica: Wir hatten das große Vergnügen, einige wundervolle Tage im Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos zu verbringen – und es war schlichtweg traumhaft! Schon bei der Ankunft wurden wir herzlich empfangen, und der exzellente Service zog sich durch unseren gesamten Aufenthalt. Die Zimmer waren erstklassig ausgestattet, makellos sauber und boten eine Atmosphäre zum Wohlfühlen. Eine besonders schöne Überraschung erlebte meine Frau an ihrem Geburtstag: Das Hotel hatte eine liebevolle Überraschung für sie vorbereitet – eine Geste, die uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben wird. Das gesamte Hotelgelände ist weitläufig, wunderschön gestaltet und lädt an jeder Ecke zum Entspannen und Genießen ein. Ob am Pool oder in den verschiedenen Ruhezonen – hier kommt echte Urlaubsstimmung auf. Ein echtes Highlight war das Frühstück: Vielfältig, frisch und von höchster Qualität. Es blieben keine Wünsche offen, und die Sorgfalt des Küchenteams spiegelte sich in jedem Detail wider. Wir haben uns rundum herzlich willkommen und absolut wohl gefühlt. Experiência fantástica: Wir hatten einen sehr angenehmen Aufenthalt im Cascade Wellness Resort in Lagos und waren insgesamt wirklich zufrieden. Das Resort bietet eine tolle Atmosphäre, das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend, und die gesamte Anlage hat uns beeindruckt. Die Zimmer waren groß, sauber und die Betten sehr bequem – ein echter Pluspunkt für einen erholsamen Aufenthalt. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die einmalige Lage zur Küste: Vom Hotel aus kann man direkt auf gut ausgebauten, kinderwagentauglichen Wegen oder auf Trampelpfaden die wunderschöne Küste bestaunen. Über einen leicht abenteuerlichen Weg gelangt man sogar zum Strand, der ebenfalls traumhaft ist. Leider konnten wir ihn aufgrund des etwas launischen Wetters und der Jahreszeit nicht zum Baden nutzen, aber allein der Anblick war es wert. Das Frühstücksbüfett war ein weiteres Highlight – sehr vielfältig und mit der Möglichkeit, sich frische Omelettes zubereiten zu lassen. Das Hotel verfügt zudem über zwei Tennisplätze, die jedoch noch in keinem guten Zustand waren. Das Personal hat mir freundlicherweise Tennisstunden im nahegelegenen Tennis Lagos Center organisiert. Mit dem Tennistrainer José war ich sehr zufrieden – er war kompetent, und ich konnte einiges lernen. Er wird voraussichtlich zukünftig direkt im Hotel Tennisstunden anbieten, und bis dahin sollen die Tennisplätze auch verbessert werden, was eine tolle Perspektive ist. Ein kleiner Kritikpunkt: Der Spiegel im Badezimmer wirkte etwas in die Jahre gekommen und war ziemlich milchig, was die Nutzung etwas eingeschränkt hat. Auch wäre mehr Licht am Spiegel eine Verbesserung, da es dort etwas dunkel war. Abgesehen von diesem kleinen Malel war alles top, und wir würden definitiv wiederkommen!

Experiência negativa: We stayed at the Cascade Wellness for 3 nights, as part of our honeymoon celebration. Unfortunately, we are leaving disappointed with our experience. We rented an apartment style room, which was nicely spacious, but the furnishings were stained and worn. Our shower leaked onto the floor making it a slipping hazard. House keeping was hit and miss, one day showed up at 4pm, then the next day at 10am. Our highlight of the stay was the restaurants, though expensive, the service and food were great. Our frustrations started at check-in, stating their Senses Tasting restaurant was fully booked for the following night, so we had to book the next day. Arriving at our dinner reservation, we were the only table, for over 2 hours. How were they fully booked the previous night and then only had 1 table the night after?? Similar experience with the spa, we were told they were fully booked but we each managed a treatment at different times. There is no direction when showing up, find your own locker, saunas, you have to ask for towels. I almost missed the booking because I was sitting in the wrong area. The floors are absolutely disgusting and a slipping hazard. The jacuzzi is lukewarm and tiny for the amount of people coming and going. Same goes for the rest of the facilities. Only 1 toilet in the women’s change room and 2 shower stalls. The staff do not care and are completely overwhelmed. One morning we woke up without any services in our room; no wifi, no phone, no tv and no hot water. We advised reception and left for a few hours for maintenance to come in. It was fixed in a few hours and we were left a bottle of Port and some dessert for our inconvenience (that was nice). Though, we experienced no hot water for a second time the morning of our check-out and were told “we apologize”. For spending a significant amount of money for our honeymoon, it caused more stress and confusion to our trip. I will be writing the resort privately for a response. The general attitude was low and unwelcoming aside from the restaurant staff, and one gentleman (Andre?) at reception was awesome.

Experiência fantástica: Was für ein tolles Hotel. Es wird 2-3 mal das Zimmer sauber gemacht. Es gibt so viel kostenloses Wasser wie wir wollen. Alle im Hotel sind super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben in der Lobby einen Cappuccino bestellt und es hat noch nie jemand so oft danke und bitte gesagt wie der Kellner. Das Frühstück ist unglaublich, es fehlt hier wirklich an nichts. Es gibt auch gluteenfreies Essen. Jedes Mal haben wir eine Kanne Kaffee bekommen. Die Pools sind toll, es gibt ein tolles Fitnessstudio und Tennisplätze. Die Lage vom Hotel ist traumhaft. Direkt am Hotel führt ein toller Wanderweg entlang, von denen wir viele Sonnenuntergänge bestaunen konnten. Der Klippenweg ist wirklich einer der schönsten überhaupt. Es führt auch direkt in der Nähe vom Hotel ein Weg an einen einsamen und traumhaften Strand. Wir sind sehr begeistert, können das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen und kommen gern wieder.

Experiência fantástica: Great location, excellent facilities and staff try hard to please. Walk out past the pool to access trails and cliffs boardwalk and fantastic views. We walked west to Luz and east to the light house and downtown. Downtown is about 2.5 km but beautiful experience. Everything in hotel is top notch. Breakfast was 10+, even had choices of plant based milks and yogurt. Also a gluten free area. We chose it for location and were pleased with walks and runs each day.

Experiência fantástica: 미쳤습니다.. 포르투갈 여행중 라고스에서 한거라고는 그냥 이 호텔에서 놀고 쉬고 먹은게 다인데 너무 감동스러워서 눈물이 날 지경이예요 다 좋았는데 특히 좋았던거만 꼽아서 남겨봅니다. 1. 위치 장점이자 단점일 수 있는데 라고스 시내와는 거리가 있지만 오히려 그래서 좋았습니다. 시내쪽은 사람도 많고 리조트에 쉬러 온 느낌이 안 날것 같아 좀 외떨어진 여기로 했는데 결과는 대만족! 너무 조용하고 고즈넉하고 시내쪽에 요트랑 보트, 건물들 많이 보이는 바다뷰보다 여기 뷰가 62배 정도 멋있습니다. 시내도 택시 기본요금만 내면 되는 멀지 않은 거리고요. 2. 조식 한국인들 많이가는 시내쪽 그 호텔이 워낙 조식이 유명하긴 한데 그 호텔 조식을 안먹어본 저로선 여기 조식 퀄 미쳤습니다. 뷔페가지 수는 많지 않지만 애초에 뷔페 뜨러 갈 일이 적어요. 일단 자리 앉으면 애프터눈티 패키지마냥 3단 트레이로 빵과 과일 햄치즈를 기본으로 갖다줍니다. 근데 빵 퀄리티가 미첬어요.. 크로아상 개존맛탱 디저트 빵도 개존맛 심지어 리스본 포르투 일주일 이상 여행하면서 1일 2에그타르트 먹어봤는데 여기 나타가 벨렘 수도원 나타에 이어 2등이었다면 믿겨지시나요ㅋㅋ 겉바속촉의 진수를 맛볼수 있어요 그리고 그동안 호텔 조식에서 스크램블이나 오믈렛 먹을 때 조리 주문하고 그 앞에서 하염없이 대기하셨죠? 여긴 메뉴판 갖다주고 그걸 서빙해다 줍니다. 심지어 그 갖다주는 것도 거의 엥간한 디너 요리 수준 3. 해안가 산책로 인생 노을 뷰를 이곳에서 찾았습니다.. 호텔에 이어져있는 해안가 절벽 산책로는 진짜 감동이 좌르르르르 흘러요.. 이건 텍스트로 설명 불가 꼭 가보세요 두번 가세요 이 외에도 직원들 너어어무 친절하고, 방청소 넘 잘 해주고, 수영장에 핫텁과 사우나 달린 것 등등 칭찬할게 많지만 다 쓰면 책한권 써야하니 여기까지만.

Experiência negativa: Die Zimmer sind echt schön das Bett ist bequem. Badewanne ist nicht im entfernsten für Personen mit körperlichen Einschränkungen geeignet, sehr hoher Einstieg. Außerdem ist die Aussenwand instabil und ein Knopf kaputt. Fernseher ist sehr kompliziert zu bedienen und Tresor unverständlich und zu klein. Personal ist nicht wirklich hilfsbereit was das Zimmer angeht. Zimmer selber suchen und Geräte selber verstehen. Der Service ist unterirdisch, die Rezeption hat keine guten Öffnungszeiten, das Frühstück ist nicht den Erwartungen entsprechend, Supermarkt Ware in einer Papiertüte. Die zum Teil extrem minderwertig ist und nicht im entfernsten gesund oder Abwechslung beinhaltet. Der Standort ist ganz okay aber ohne Mietwagen lange Wege aber Steilküste ist fußläufig erreichbar.

Experiência negativa: Massive enttäuscht wegen Aufenthalt während der Schließzeit von Restaurant und Spa Der schlechteste Service, der mir je begegnet ist. Frühstück aus der Tüte mit billig Zutaten an die Tür zum selber machen und ohne darauf hin zu weisen für 2 Tage d.h. ein halbes Joghurt oder ein 100 ml Orangensaft pro Person.

Experiência positiva: Very nice but slightly tired hotel/apartment resort about 30mins walk from Lagos. On the cliffs so easy access to walking paths and good footpaths into town. Great spot with a short walk to sunset. Our groundfloor apartment was spacious and clean with two terraces for sun in the morning or afternoon. Functional kitchen with everything you need. Parking super easy. Went to the gym a couple of days which was basic but functional. Included classes. Other days were walking along cliff paths. Didn’t visit the spa or pools so cannot comment. Visited onsite bar & restaurant just once om first day (as too tired to go elsewhere) which was just OK. Better places elsewhere.

Experiência positiva: I adjusted the below review since they came back to me with a decent solution to pay the treatments costs back. This recovers the pain of the loss of the two e-readers. I do really appreciate them getting back to me with this information. The below review isn't that relevant anymore. While the treatment itself was acceptable, our overall experience was marred by poor service and disorganization. We accidentally left two e-readers in the bathrobe in the dressing area, where there were only two other guests and three employees present. Upon realizing this on Sunday morning, we immediately contacted the company. Despite assurances that they would investigate and update us, I had to call them every single day over the course of four days without receiving any proactive communication. Even by Friday, no resolution or meaningful updates had been provided. This lack of follow-up and accountability left us deeply frustrated and disappointed. Not even a solution or compensation was proposed.
