1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Отличный отель на берегу океана. Идеальное место для проживания в Фуншале. Свой пляж с лежаками до океана 5 метров из выхода из отеля. Хорошие номера с видом на океан, есть небольшая кухня. Отзывчивый персонал. Хорошие завтраки.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Das Hotel befindet im Westen Funchals, rund 30 Gehminuten vom Zentrum entfernt. Es ist ruhig gelegen und besticht durch die gepflegte, schöne Gartenanlage und einen direkten Zugang zum Atlantik. Gute Schwimmer können hier super das Wasser genießen. Ein öffentliches Schwimmbad (Atlantik) sowie ein Supermarkt sind direkt vor der Tür. Trotzdem und trotz des Pools am Hotel ist es nie störend laut, so dass sich auch Erwachsene wohl fühlen können. Der Service und die Freundlichkeit sind unaufdringlich aber familiär. Wir fühlten uns geschätzt und sehr willkommen. Das Essen im Hotel ist gut. Die Zimmer sind allerdings teilweise etwas in die Jahre gekommen und wirken etwas abgewohnt, allerdings sehr sauber. Deshalb würden wir bei unserem nächsten Besuch in eben diesem gehoben bodenständigen Hotel erneut einchecken.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Lage sehr gut, man sollte aber gut zu Fuss sein. Die Zimmer im runden Gebäude gut im Zuschnitt und Ausstattung, mit gutem Meerblick, aber auch renovierungsbedürftig. Betten o.k , Wanne mit Duschabtrennung, Bad sauber. Ob das 4 Sterne sind , angesichts des Alters? Es ist ein sauberes Hotel. Personal freundlich, im Restaurant sollten sich aber einige zumindest mit der englischen Sprache befassen. Das Meer ist über einen eigenen Zugang erreichbar, besser geht es nicht. Der Pool ist nicht sehr gross, wird gelegentlich von der ansässigen Tauchschule genutzt, ist dann nur noch halb so gross. Die Liegefläche ist mit ausreichend Liegen bestückt, Sonnenschirme kosten aber 2€/Tag. Alles sauber. Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht, was sich als Fehler erwies. Das Frühstück war in frischer Qualität, doch ohne jede Abwechslung. Sehr ölige Rühr- und Spiegeleier, die noch etwas Zeit gebraucht hätten. Abends gute Fischgerichte, Fleisch oftmals zerkocht, fast an jedem Tag pappiger Reis, Kartoffeln sind meist besser gelungen Meist nur 1 Gemüse zur Auswahl. Dessert und Salate o.k. Am Sonntag gibt es ein 5- Gänge Menü, Vegetarier oder die , die keinen Fisch mögen, sollten das dafür gezahlte Geld abschreiben, Alternative Gänge sind nicht eingeplant. Es gibt viele Restaurants aller Coleur in der Nähe, günstiger und besser.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: -Sehr freundliches Personal, -verdammt gutes Frühstück mit sehr großer Auswahl (z. B. verschiedenste Sorten an Obst, sehr leckeren Kaffee, große Auswahl an Gebäck, Brot und Beilagen und verschiedene Säfte), -einen unbezahlbaren Meeresblick. -Wichtiges Detail: das Hotel bietet den direkten Zugang zum Meer mit Hilfe von Treppen. Gestern haben wir zum Beispiel direkt am Felsen (die sich um das Treppengelände befinden) eine wunderschöne Krabbe gesehen :) Da viele Hotels hier mittig in der Stadt und vom Straßen Verkehr und dem dazugehörigen Lärm umgeben sind, ist das definitiv noch ein riesiger plus Punkt! -Die Frühstücks Terasse ist auch mit dem Blick aufs Meer ausgerichtet (siehe Bild unten) -Unten in der Bar geht es auch direkt zum Pool und dem (ich muss es immer wieder erwähnen) zum Meer!! Und neben super leckeren Cocktails kann man kicker und Tisch Tennis spielen, wenn man möchte -unkomplizierte Parkmöglichkeiten an der Hotelanlage (welche nachts um 12 die Tore schließt sodass keine unbefugten zu den Autos und dem Hotel selbst können. Nur die Besucher des Hotels durch eine Anlage außen werden vom Personal hineingelassen)

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Das Hotel, direkt am Meer im Stadtteil Lido gelegen ist etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Man sieht es den Wänden, Möbeln und auch der Badausstattung deutlich an. Wo schon gibt es noch eine Dusche ohne Einhebelmischbatterie? Jeder Hotelgast wird hier geradezu zur Wasserverschwendung genötigt. Wir wurden von einem äußerst reservierten Rezeptionisten "empfangen", der auch ansonsten nie hilfreich war, aber viele andere Angestellte waren sehr freundlich, besonders Ana im Restaurant. Das Essen schmeckte, wenn auch das Frühstück immer das Gleiche war und das Abendbuffett keine allzu große Auswahl bot. Man fand immer etwas heraus. Frühstücken direkt über dem Meer fanden wir fantastisch, trotz der gierigen Möwen. Leider war die Terasse abends immer geschlossen. Am Ostersonntag gab es abends Unterhaltung durch ein ausgezeichnetes Duo. Am Dienstag ein Kulturprogramm einer Volkskunstgruppe, leider beim Dinner, das wurde weder dem Gast noch den Künstlern gerecht. Wer mag schon ohrenbetäubendes Trommeln beim Essen? Lustig war das Abdecken des Buffets durch zerknautschte Tischdecken und die fantasievolle Faltung des Schlafanzuges... Siehe Fotos. Unser Balkon bot einen schönen Blick auf Stadt und Meer, leider auch auf die hässliche Poolanlage des Nachbarhotels. Dass es so etwas überhaupt gibt... Nur Beton. Richtung Westen führte eine schöne Promenade aber in die Innenstadt musste man eine sehr laute, abgasverschmutzte Straße entlang, ca 1/2 Stunde Weg. Wir haben uns meist für den Bus entschieden, Linie 1 oder 2, 1,95€, egal wie viele Stationen man fährt. Insgesamt ein schöner Aufenthalt, aber für das, was geboten wurde, einfach zu teuer.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Hotel se nahaja na izjemni lokaciji, visto ob oceanu. V času našega bivanja je bil popolnoma zaseden, v večini z nemško in angleško govorečimi starejšimi gosti. Osebje prijazno, zajtrki okusni, sam hotel pa je potreben malo osvežitve, prenove.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Tolles Hotel direkt am Meer und zentral. Ideal mit Kindern. Sehr freundliches Personal. Sehr zu empfehlen!Die Candle Light Dinner sind wunderschön und auf 5-Sterne Niveau. Einfach perfekt. Das Frühstücksbuffet und das Buffet am Abend ist sehr abwechslungsreich, frisch zubereitet und im Geschmack exzellent. Die Nachspeisen sind traumhaft. Das Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und geht sehr liebevoll auf unseren 7-jährigen Sohn ein. Ich komme gerne wieder hierher. Meine Eltern sind schon 5-mal und ich zweimal zu Besuch gewesen. 1 year ago Experiência positiva: Deze accommodatie ligt op 4 minuten lopen van het strand. Dit appartementenhotel bevindt zich in een schaduwrijke tuin en beschikt over een buitenbad met uitzicht op de kliffen bij Funchal. Het Pestana Palms beschikt over een goed uitgerust fitnesscentrum met een hot tub en een duikcentrum. De ruime studio's van het Pestana Palms Ocean Aparthotel zijn ingericht met zachte, beige tinten. Elke kamer is voorzien van fauteuils met een lage rug in de zithoek, evenals een tv met internationale kabelzenders. Het restaurant A Flor do Mar heeft grote ramen met uitzicht op de oceaan. Hier wordt regelmatig entertainment aangeboden. Salades, lichte snacks en gebak zijn verkrijgbaar in de gezellige Vila Lido Tea Room. Het behulpzame personeel van het hotel kan excursies langs de kust of een boottocht naar Porto Santo voor u regelen. In de omgeving van het aparthotel vindt u ook diverse natuur- en wandelpaden. Pestana Palms Ocean Aparthotel ligt op 2 km afstand van de lokale musea in het centrum van Funchal. U kunt bij het hotel gratis parkeren, onder voorbehoud van beschikbaarheid.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Hotel in sehr guter Lage, aber die Zimmer sind sehr verlebt und in die Jahre gekommen. Das Abendbüffet war sehr gut und das Frühstücksbuffet war leider sehr langweilig und von minderer Qualität. Das Hotelpersonal war Klasse und sehr serviceorientiert. 1 year ago Experiência positiva: Alles schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen, wir hatten einen Balkon mit tollem Blick auf Meer u Funchal. Personal war sehr nett, Frühstück ließ keinen Wunsch offen u auch hier hatte man einen super Meerblick, draußen wie drinnen.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Ordentliches Hotel, sauber. Sehr freundliches Personal. Das Halbpansionessen ist befriedigend bis gut (Buffet), a la carte in der Villa Lido gut. Frühstücksbuffet ist zwar vielfältig, aber mehr Quantität statt Qualität. Allerdings habe ich auch recht hohe Ansprüche. Der kleine Hotelpark mit Blumen und Palmen ist sehr nett und schön.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Отзывчивый персонал, готовы помочь всегда, красивый вид на океан, вкусные обильные завтраки,много фруктов и выпечки, зелёная территория,много цветов. Джакузи,тренажерный зал, хамам и сауна.Хорошая уборка номеров, чисто.Имеется кухня,не большая,но все необходимое есть.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Nach mehrmaligen Urlaub auf Madeira auch zu Palms gekommen. Hatte schon die Bewertung als 10. bestes Hotel von Europa. Prima. Waren dann öfter dort, bis wir von einem Gast ein Timeshare erworben haben. Seit dem Jahr 2000 jedes Jahr ( 29/30. WOCHE ) dorthin geflogen. Immer voll zufrieden. Für sportliche ist die Tauchschule prima. Hätte ich auch gemacht, wenn ich jünger gewesen wär. Im Schwimmbad fast täglich Wasserghymnastig. Das Personal ist freundlich und hilfsbereit auch wenn es nicht zu den Hotelaugaben gehört. Wir hatten wirklich nie Grund zu einer Klage so gehören wir fast schon zur Familie. Man hat überall hin gute Busverbindungen, doch sollten sich ältere Gäste etwas Zeit nehmen, denn Zur Bushaltestelle geht es da 250 m aufwärts. Auch sollte man sich in einem Shop eine Chipkarte kaufen, weil dann billiger und das langwierige bezahlen entfällt. Palms selbst ist kein Massenhotel, sondern Hotel mit familiärer Betreuung. Ich hoffe, das ich noch sehr oft hinfahren kann. Es ist Urlaub im Urlaub.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: My wife and I stayed at the Pestana Palms for a week on an exchange holiday through RCI. Like the Island of Madeira it was very clean and the staff very friendly and helpful. The rooms were cleaned on a daily basis. The hotel is in a good location taking about 15 mins to walk into the centre of Funchal. The only down side is the rooms are getting a little tired although we were advised the hotel is due to be renovated in the near future.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Wird Funchal zum Ballermann, schade um die schöne Insel! Vor rund einem Vierteljahrhundert war ich schon mal hier. Zur damaligen Zeit gefiel mir die Kleinheit des Hotels, für mich wirkt es wie ein Vogelnest an der Küste, direkter Blick aufs Meer, keine Straße dazwischen. Jetzt, im Juni 2018 traf mich fast der Schlag, als ich die Umgebung sah. Soweit das Auge reicht, ein Hotelbunker neben dem anderen, hässliche Zweckbauten, dienen nur dazu, Massen unterzubringen. Vom Hotel kann man zu Fuss in die Altstadt spazieren, der Weg dorthin ist ebenso verbaut, die schönen (damals!) alten Häuser niedergerissen und durch hässliche Betonburgen verbaut. Schade um die landschaftlich sehr schöne Insel, mit herrlicher Natur abseits der Touristenburgen und Funchal. Funchal ist extrem gewachsen, entsprechend der Verkehr. Anscheinend bemüht sich Funchal, die Ballermannstadt Nr. 1 zu werden. Für all jene Urlauber, die die Natur der Insel erleben wollen, seie es durch Wandern, zB. auf den tollen Levadas oder ähnlich, sich in der Hauptstadt gemütlich ein gutes Essen einzuverleiben, rate ich Funchal zu meiden. Leider ist dadurch auch dieses Hotel in meiner Wertung abgerutscht. Zum Hotel selber, die Lage wäre ohne der für mich schrecklichen Umgebung noch immer schön, auch wenn das Hotel in die Jahre gekommen ist, die Zimmer sichtlich abgewohnt, aber einigermaßen sauber. Auch das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Zur Zeit haben wir eine Ameisenplage im Zimmer und das im 4. Stock, vom Meer aus betrachtet. Heute, am 16. Juni wird den ganzen Abend gelärmt ohne Ende, Discohämmer der primitivsten Art wird in die nächtliche Luft gehämmert... Ballermann pur für ein paar Touri Idioten und verm. Einheimische. Wenn das im sogenannten Qualitätstourismus zugelassen wird, dann ist das der Tod für diese Hotels. Für mich war das der letzte Besuch in Funchal und Madeira. PS jetzt ist 00.20, 17.06.2018 - der Lärm ist noch immer nicht am Ende, seit Stunden nur diese idiotischen Discohämmer die mir den Schlaf rauben.....

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Hyvä ja rauhallinen hotelli. Henkilökunta oli todella ystävällistä ja avuliasta. Huone oli todella tilava ja siisti. Näköala huoneesta altaalle ja merelle. Hotellin ravintoloita emme testanneet, ainoastaan baaria yhden drinkin verran myöhemmin hotellille palatessamme. Tähän hotelliin voisin mennä mielelläni uudelleenkin. Kuljetus hotellille ja takaisin lentokentälle kannattaa sopia ennakkoon hotellin kautta. Tulee halvemmaksi kuin ajella omatoimisesti taksilla.

Atividades próximas: Man kann hier viel zu Fuß oder mit dem Bus erreichen. Die Altstadt von Funchal ist nicht weit, mit Fischmarkt, Seilbahn, Hafen uvm. 1 year ago Experiência positiva: Perfektní místo, přímo u oceánu s nádherným výhledem a terasou. Moře u hotelu krasne čisté s hodně rybami, přístup po schůdkách. Vybavení hotelu starší, už se asi blíží čas rekonstrukce. Personál skvělý.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: It was the best hotel I have stayed! The staff is super nice, starting with the ones from to reception, the bar and ending with the pool bar lady. The room was very spacious, clean, the beds very comfortable. They also have a pillow menu, so if you don’t like the default one go for it and ask for another one at the reception! The location and view from the rooms were also magnificent. The bar also is in a very interesting looking building, separated but near to the hotel. All and all, if you have any doubt about the hotel, go for it! Tip. There is a large supermarket across the street from the hotel where you can park your car for only 4€/day, so you don’t have to use their car park which is more expensive.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Wow, the first hotel we're staying that's in the ocean, huge rooms, incredible views, breakfast with plenty of choices and quality food. Staff so far very friendly, parking on premises and huge supermarket across the street. Pool is decent also with staircase to swim in the ocean also. Ok, I got a negative comment too - the Internet could be better and not set up free like in the airport. Quartos: Big rooms, with crazy ocean view Atividades próximas: Parks, supermarket qcross the street and plenty of bars like 3-5 mins away(on top of the ones on premises) Segurança: Feels very safe and friendly, plenty of staff around also Acessibilidade a pé: Parks and promenades right next to it Alimentos e bebidas: The breakfast is definitely worth its price, and then some, and this without considering the view

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Rooms absolutely fine - had a nice room with ocean view. Also very quiet- only the waves :) Beds very comfortable and you had a variety of pillows! AMAZING. Breakfast buffet was absolutely okay - even though vegans might face some troubles - but a lot of salat and fruits and milk alternatives. Small hotel is very very nice! I would definitely recommend and and go there again. Direct access to the ocean for swimming is amazing! Everyone was very very friendly! Location is perfect - quiet but close to the city! Supermarket close by. Parking is easy next to the hotel but you have to pay for it (free from 8pm to 8 am ish, varies on weekends)

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: Pestana vila lido was chosen as our hotel on our first trip to Madeira. The friendliness & helpfulness of ALL the staff, location of the hotel made our holiday very special. Our large room 802 was quiet, overlooked Funchal Harbour and the ocean. Listening to the waves day & night was relaxing. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. The fridge provided in the room was useful. The pastries on arrival and a platter of fresh fruit midweek in the room was a nice touch. The pool area was well maintained. Plenty of sunbeds available and umbrellas. We enjoyed access to the Sauna & Steam room. Direct access to the sea was great, either by steps or jump if brave enough. The breakfast food was fantastic. So much choice, we especially enjoyed the fresh fruit the cooked eggs and the lovely pastries. We stayed 2 weeks and always a pleasure to go to breakfast. The hotel location was quiet & away from the road noise. A lovely scenic walk along the Lido promenade. Funchal not to far away either by walking or catch a bus from the top of the hill. We would definitely stay at the Pestana Vila Lido again with Fernando and his team.

1 year ago Experiência fantástica: We had an amazing stay @ Pestana Vila Lido. Wonderful central location near a supermarket, bank, main road, easy walk into town. Hotel has direct access to the ocean, large comfy rooms, obliging staff (Tiago @ reception & Lulu, our room organiser) deserve a special mention! Breakfast was plentiful (tho coffee station cld be improved). Drinks are expensive but yiu gave the option of happy hour! We'll be back next year, God willing!! Detalhes relevantes: Feel parking at the hotel should be a free service.

1 year ago Experiência positiva: Large studio rooms with a well equipped kitchenette. Decent sized balcony with sea view. Bathrooms are a good size with a bidet but no exhaust...that is the downside. The breakfast buffet is pretty good and has a variety of breads, pastry, fruits....even though the bacon and sausages are not to our standards. Prosecco is also served for breakfast. The bar/ afternoon tea room is a lovely room...giving it a cosy colonial feel.
