A qualidade técnica dos professores é altíssima, o ambiente é acolhedor e respeitoso, e o clima de equiipa motiva a evoluir todos os dias. Aqui encontrei não só um espaço para treinar, mas também uma comunidade que valoriza disciplina, aprendizagem e amizade. Recomendo de olhos fechados para qualquer pessoa que queira começar ou evoluir no Jiu Jitsu!

L’accueil a été top dès qu’on a passé la porte, une vraie ambiance conviviale et respectueuse, comme on aime dans le JJB. Les coachs Miguel et Hélio sont excellents : pédagogues, patients et ultra techniques. Fui fazer um treino experimental a convite de um amigo e devo dizer que fui muito bem recebido por todos os atletas e em especial pelo Mestre Hélio. No que concerne à aula em si, o aquecimento foi excelente, seguiram-se algumas técnicas de pé, de seguida avançámos para trabalho de chão e concluiu-se com o "King of the mat". Em relação a esta última, experimentem que valeu a pena... Foi a minha 1ª experiência de BJJ e fiquei rendido.

Experiência fantástica: Whilst visiting Lisbon from the UK, we wanted somewhere for Megan to train. We got in touch with Five Elements Jiu Jistsu Rato to see if she could join the kids class for the week. We received a very fast and welcoming response with all the information we needed. Megan trained here for 5 days and absolutely loved it. She was made to feel so welcome by the other children and coaches. There was great structure to the classes and was suitable for all levels. We highly recommend a visit and we will definitely be back next time we are in Lisbon.

Experiência fantástica: A great central location for bjj during my stay in Lisbon. The gym was spotless and had plenty of room to change and shower. More importantly, the owner was so kind and welcoming (as were all the training partners) going so far as to give class instruction in English, as I was the sole participant who wasn’t Portuguese. They also have Gi’s to use if like me, you don’t like packing huge gi’s in your carry on. The level of bjj and the quality of the rolls was also excellent, on par with some of the bjj in tough places like London and the US that I’ve rolled in. Can’t recommend this place enough for visitors and locals alike.

Experiência fantástica: I stopped by for a drop in gi class while staying In Lisbon after messaging Professor Hélio. The gym was in a central location and was extremely clean. They have a locker room and showers if needed. Professor Hélio offered great instruction demonstrating both a triangle and arm bar when having both hooks in from top turtle position. Both him and members of the class were happy to explain in English when needed. I would highly recommend stopping in for a class if you are looking to train while visiting Lisbon.

The standard of the mixed and advanced classes (blue belt and above) were incredibly high and very enjoyable. What really stood out to me was how welcoming everyone once, I felt like I was training at my home gym. Great atmosphere and culture at this gym, making myself and my girlfriend feel very comfortable. Helio and Miguel do a great job of running this gym. Next time I am in Lisbon I will definitely be making a return!

It was last minute and he helped arrange a few hours of private training with coach Stefan. Stefan was amazing with a real deep understanding of martial arts and jiujitsu. He helped give me some direction and things I will focus on over the next few months.
