Experiência fantástica: Had a wonderful time at Moka, it feels like home. The massage was sublime, the yoga is wonderful and all the volunteers do their very best to make sure you enjoy your time there. One of the only places where it felt like they really put their guests before profits.

Experiência fantástica: I had a great experience at Moka, I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a yoga retreat (I just did the yoga package). The place is very well located and easy to access, the staff are really friendly and helpful and make everything really easy. The food was delicious and very varied. I enjoyed all the yoga classes and the fact that we got to experience different types of yoga and have classes with different teachers. It's also a very nice place if you are travelling on your own. You get to meet a lot of different people from all around the world in a very friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Experiência fantástica: It was such a wonderful staying in Moka. The team was so kind and helpful. The food was fantastic. And the organisation was very good. Everything was nearly perfect. The Surf school they have choosen was also really nice. I liked the teachers and they give helpful advices, also bloody beginner could have fun and some experiences of success. The Yoga was wonderful and always the right kind of (morning powerful/ evening restorative). I’d love to come back next year and I can give a highly recommendation for this Yoga and Surf retreat! Experiência fantástica: I spent 5 nights on October in Moka and I really enjoyed that time. I chose yoga package. There were two yoga classes daily. The teachers were really engaged. The yoga class at the morning was intensive and the evening class was more relaxing. Practising yoga in the yurt was an interesting experiance. I didn’t have any surfing lesson so I can not tell anything about it. Moka serves breakfasts and dinners which are included in price. It is Italian cusine. There was even a cake for the breakfast everyday. There was also a massage included in the package. The dorms were clean and the staff was really friendly and helpful. The nearest beach and the center of Ericiera are not so close if you want to go there walking. But Moka also offers a shuttle bus to Ericeria and to the beach at scheduled time. I really recommend Moka especially for people who travel alone. It is a good place to meet nice people and have some time to relax :)

Experiência fantástica: I booked the Yoga and Surf Package at Moka and I can only say that it was 1000% worth it! I am an intermediate surfer and advanced yogi. Praia Ribeira d‘Ilas always awaits you with medium-perfect conditions. The water was never calm there. The surf school does an amazing job with the courses. Don’t worry if they put you on a beginner course first. You will learn how to handle the waves there first and change to the intermediate level. There was a variety of Yoga classes offered with different styles. The teachers were very experienced and very good at what they do each one with their particular focus. The massage from Susanna was literally amazing! Cannot recommend her enough. I felt like a new person after. The chef preparing the dinner is super good and there was not one day that I did not enjoy the meal to the fullest ;). I definitely recommend going here!

Experiência fantástica: I went on a trip last summer to Moka. It was my first retreat and I think it was one of my favorite trips. The lessons were great, both yoga and surfing, even though I had never surfed ! They adapt completely to your level. And these activities fit together very well. The place is very clean, the meals were really good. There was a great atmosphere throughout my trip. Everyone is so nice, the place is so beautiful and relaxing. I'll be back !

The place really invites you to unwind and be flooded by the love the owners and volunteers are putting in this. Wait for the breakfast - it's the best EVER! better than in most high class hotels I stayed in. And dinner is also really really nice. While I came for the yoga, I still went for a surf which I can highly recommend, the school and instructor we went with was great. Really good place to meet likeminded souls and have a very memorable stay. Will definitely be back.

Le chef cuisinier assure vraiment. Le massage incroyable. Les cours de yoga très bien. Tout était parfait! Bonne ambiance j’y retournerai avec plaisir Merci à toute l’équipe!

Experiência fantástica: Venue avec 3 copines pour un stage surf et yoga, nous avons été conquises. Très bonne surfhouse avec la yourte de yoga au fond du jardin. Chambres propres et literie ok, le gros point fort du lieu est la nourriture, avec des dîners végétariens tout simplement délicieux. Les membres de l’équipe sont hyper sympas et font tout pour vous simplifier la vie. L’école de surf est top et les profs de yoga vraiment bien. A faire sans hésiter.

Experiência fantástica: I booked a 6days/5nights Yoga and surf package at Moka, beginning of April 2024. I went there from Lisbon airport by Uber (35€) I was traveling solo, for the first time and I was a little worried both traveling alone and at Moka but I wasn't disappointed one bit! It was amazing! - The place/room : The place and the people were simple and nice. The room was clean, equipped with safe locker (bring your own padlock!) and curtains on each bed for privacy. The mattress was ok. There is shared bathrooms, but I never had to queue to access it. I was there during low season and out of 5 nights, my room was full (4 beds) only 1 night. The rest of the time, we were either 2 or 3 max to share. The diner were varied, vegetarian, healthy and always good. People were coming and going every day, so you get to meet new people daily, which is nice. People from all age, nationality, style, solo but also duo travellers, a good mix. Only nice people :) And you don't feel any pressure to socialise if you want to stay on your own. Also, big crush for the "garden" with the hammocks, that is so nice, peaceful and great to chill and take the sun during the day. -The location : I hesitated a long time before Moka and another surfhouse located in the center of Ericeira, but I don't regret my choice. Being a bit far away from the crowd feels very nice and more relaxing. You are also surrounded by nature, and trails that are nice to take to discover the nature around. The shuttle is also helpful if you need to go to/get picked up from Ericeira or the beach. There is also the local buses and Uber/bolt (very cheap). So you never feel stuck over there, which I was a bit scared of while booking. Also, because you are high on the hill, you get nice viewpoint and can get a nice spot to look at the sunset from the surfhouse. - Surf : Even if I said I was pre-intermediate/intermediate, I was together with beginners (probably because it was low season and there was not enough people to split per group of level). But anyways, all 3 classes were great. We were very small groups each time. You get picked up at Moka, they provide everything you need (wetsuit, shoes, board) and the teacher are very nice and passionated -most of them are born here-). - Yoga : I'm pretty beginner at Yoga, but I loved every single class I've been too. The teacher are very nice, gentle, they adapt to the class and to the people. I discovered new type of yoga I never tried before. Have the class in the yurt is also amazing, especially the evening classes, when the sun has warmed up the room during the day. - Staff : The staff is very nice, always helpful, with great (whatsapp) communication. I forgot some belongings in my room on my last day, and they offered to post it for me, which I really appreciate. All and all I had the best time at Moka, with a good mix of wandering, activities, chill, social but also alone time, nature and city. It was great and I would recommend it 200%. Thank you Moka <3

Experiência fantástica: Amazing amazing amazing. There are not enough great things I can say about Mola surf house. The staff and volunteers make you feel among family and the other guests are friendly and bring in that added element to a retreat. Many come for either surf or yoga and end up doing both and the staff makes it super accommodating to add classes. I will definitely be back and recommend a stay here to everyone.

Experiência fantástica: A PERFECT place ! I loved the mood, the people I met. Yoga teachers are all very very nice. The house is beautiful. Like one of the staff team said to me, this is the perfect "holiday for the soul". I highly recommend this place ! Also, the food is delicious !

Experiência fantástica: Amazing stuff. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. They always go the extra mile. We had a yoga package (twice yoga: once before breakfast at 8.30 and once before dinner 18.00) depending on the tide you can even add surf lessons. The teacher from the surf school moka is working with are very patient and relaxed no matter your skills, age and talent. The 5 days we spend there were really relaxing. It is a bit from the beach as we had a car it was no problem. Otherwise you have to walk around 30 Minutes or grab a bike which moka provides for free.

Experiência negativa: Don't go here if you want surfing. It was 90% yoga, 10% surfing. Surfing lessons were disappointing, did not accomodate to experience and did not put effort into arranging the best experience

Experiência positiva: Its very clean and the yoga classes where awesome and the whole House has a good Atmosphere. But its in a little village called baleia 6km away from ericeira and they said in their page they offer free shuttles. Well Yes but just twice a day and NO shuttles back. So i would recommend to rent a car. The next beach is 3 km away (40min walk) so be prepared for this. And you cant go by Bike to ericeira. The mainroad is to dangerous. You dont have much contact with the owners they only cared about me when it was something about paying. I was a bit sad. There is Beautiful Landscape you can Discover around baleia... Another Girl discovered a Mountainbike Track and they didnt even know or recommend Activities around that are free. The only staff you met all the time was the volunteers. The American and the Dutch where really nice and communicating but the other two where unfriendly and i had the feeling they let the other girls do all the housekeeping Work. When we went surfing there was only one surfschool (us) and they were right next to us ... One of them barely surfed into me. Well everything is good nothing happend but Common. Arent they the staff? At least they could say Hello and tell us why they been so close to us. All of this had a bit of a bitter Taste and. I would still recommend if you like being outside... But if you are an active person and dont want to spend money on tours prepare yourself.

Experiência fantástica: Amazing place - Francesca and Augusta (and the staff in general) are perfect hosts and make you feel at home immediately :) The other guests were very relaxed and nice people, no place for parties but the perfect getaway to relax. My friend and I booked the yoga and surf package - we had a lot of fun in the waves and doing yoga, highly professional and nice teachers that make learning easy. Already looking forward to my next stay at Moka!!

Experiência fantástica: Home away from home! We (couple, at the beginning of the 30s) enjoyed our time at the Moka Surfhouse a lot. The hosts and the staff are really friendly and they did their best, that we felt like at home. The Yoga was really amazing and we definitely improved our skills. It was great to practice different styles of Yoga. Our room and was really nice and clean (like the bathroom). The surrounding with the nice garden, roof terrace, hammocks and Yoga yurt is soo nice and invites to relax. The breakfast was really good (thanx to Viola)! We definitely recommend staying at the Moka Surfhouse to relax and to practice some Yoga. We will visit again :).
