Experiência positiva: Nice and quiet hotel with nice staff. One star down mainly because of the breakfasts, which really aren't very good (as often mentioned in other reviews). Despite the closed door to the balcony, we thought we could smell cigarette smoke in the room at times (probably through the air conditioning).

El hotel está en una ubicación espectacular. Aunque es cierto que Madeira no tiene playas de arena, este destino no se visita buscando eso. Es una isla preciosa, llena de belleza natural, y estamos disfrutando cada minuto desde el principio hasta ahora, mientras seguimos de vacaciones aquí. El desayuno es una delicia: desde tortillas y pancakes recién hechos hasta todo lo que uno pueda desear para comenzar el día. Hari prepara las tortillas más deliciosas con una sonrisa, de manera rápida y eficiente, atendiendo a cada huésped como si fuera único. Ze Es una profesional excepcional, siempre pendiente de las mesas y regalando una sonrisa cada vez que la miras. Y un agradecimiento especial a Sarita quien se aseguró de que tuviera Nutella para mis pancakes, demostrando que los pequeños detalles marcan la diferencia. Queremos agradecer especialmente a Tina de Guest relations por su profesionalidad en gestionar nuestra reserva. Experiência fantástica: excelente relação qualidade/preço. Staff muito profissional e simpáticos, sempre atentos e bem dispostos. Não usei o restaurante para refeições apenas pequeno-almoço, que para um 5* não é extraordinário, mas para mim é muito mais que suficiente. quartos muito espaçosos e confortáveis. a destacar todo o staff.

Experiência fantástica: My stay at Melia Madeira Mare was absolutely unforgettable, and I can’t recommend this hotel enough! From the moment I arrived, I was met with outstanding hospitality. Every staff member was warm, attentive, and ready to help with anything we needed, making our stay truly special. The rooms were spacious, impeccably maintained, and offered breathtaking ocean views. Waking up to such a stunning view every morning was a highlight of my trip! The facilities are top-notch – from the indoor and outdoor pools to the relaxing spa area, everything is designed with guests’ comfort and relaxation in mind. I especially appreciated the attention to detail and wellness services, which helped us unwind completely. The hotel restaurant provided a delicious selection of international and local dishes. Breakfasts were fresh and varied, and the evening meals were a true culinary experience. The location is ideal, close to Funchal’s main attractions, making it easy to explore the island and return to a peaceful and luxurious atmosphere at the end of the day. I highly recommend Melia Madeira Mare to anyone seeking a premium experience in Madeira. A big thank you to the team for a wonderful stay – I’ll definitely be back!

Experiência fantástica: Hotel close to ocean in busy but not over busy and loud area. Close to restaurant and shops. Rooms are big, nice and bright. We had Master suit with big terrace and two sunbeds. Big bathroom. Rooms are cleaned everyday. Very good selection of food on breakfast and diner. Lots of fruits, veg, meat and fish. Staff very nice, helpful and always smile. Swimming pool big and clean. Nobody reserve sunbeds on the morning. If you come on afternoon you can still find sunbed. We was first week of September and there was no kids.

Experiência fantástica: Nous avons passé 4 jours dans cet excellent hôtel, la chambre supérieure vue sur océan était parfaite, des petites attentions vous sont réservées chaque jours dans la chambre. L hôtel est très propre, peu bruyant ,les lit sont très confortable. Le personnel ne mérite que des louanges. La nourriture était excellente et variées avec du poisson et divers viandes, le petit déjeuner est très copieux. Les piscines intérieure et extérieure sont suffisantes. Un hôtel a conseillé a tous ceux qui veulent visiter Madère Quartos: Spacieuse, lumineuse, literie top Alimentos e bebidas: La cuisine est varié et d excellente qualité

Experiência fantástica: Séjour en famille en juillet. Très bel hôtel, très propre. Peu de monde c'est agréable car la piscine n'est pas surchargée et il y a toujours des transats de libres. Superbe buffet avec du poisson tous les jours. Petit déjeuner exceptionnel il y en a pour tous les goûts. Le personnel est très agréable. Pension complète : le midi nous avions le choix de quelques plats sur carte. Très jolie présentation. Idéalement placé pour visiter l'île. Je recommande +++

Experiência negativa: Pour ceux qui aiment les hôtels sans âme, vous y serez bien reçus, à condition de ne pas être trop regardants sur la propreté et la qualité des services (douches défaillante et aucune aide de la part du personnel). Pour les autres, passez votre chemin. Le personnel est désagréable, le buffet du petit déjeuner est médiocre quoique très fourni, les piscines ne sont pas bien aménagées et j’en passe. Le comble est le personnel détestable: alors que nous étions en voyage de noce et que notre avion pour Madère avait été annulé, la direction n’a eu aucun geste commercial, après pourtant des promesses vaines. Nous sommes partis fâchés et très déçus de l’accueil réservé, sachant d’autant plus que l’hôtel est situé dans un quartier de Madère sans aucun intérêt et complètement attrape touriste. Quartos: Chambres spacieuses et avec belle vue, mais avec services défaillants. Alimentos e bebidas: Plats et boissons à la qualité médiocre

Experiência negativa: Hotel 5- gwiazdkowy? Dobre mi żarty. Jedzenie chyba pożyczone z hostelu. Napompowane bułki, wszystko tłuste i widać, że kupione po totalnej taniości. Codziennie ten sam repertuar, ohydna kawa, przy każdym kęsie robi się coraz bardziej niedobrze. Obsługa też zostawia dużo do życzenia- zapominają o zamówieniach, są nieuprzejmi i co chwile podchodzą do stolika, nachylają się nad jedzeniem i zabierają niedojedzone talerze. Nie wiem, może brakuje tu talerzy? Hotel zasługuje max na 2 gwiazdki. Nikomu nie polecam. Nie przyjeżdżajcie tu, chyba że chcecie wywalić pieniądze w błoto. Jestem bardzo zawiedziona. Śmierdzące ręczniki, brak udogodnień pokojowych (np szczoteczka czy pasta do zębów)- usprawiedliwiane ,,ekologią”. Basen i leżaki brudne.

Experiência fantástica: We really enjoyed our stay here. The property was very nice and we had a great ocean view from our balcony. The staff was accommodating in storing our luggage when our flight arrived 5 hours early and allowed us to park our rental car in the parking garage before check in. The breakfast buffet had lots of great options every morning. The hotel is located in a great area close to lots a restaurants, grocery stores, malls and is a short walk to the center of Funchal.

Experiência fantástica: Excelente experiência. O Hotel tem todas as comunidades que esperávamos. Muito limpo. Staff extremamente disponível e simpático. Com música ao vivo ao final da tarde no verão. A localização é fabulosa, junto ao mar e a uma zona de recreio muito bonita. Recomendo!

Experiência fantástica: Great hotel. Very friendly staff. Rooms, pool and public areas were spotless. Plenty of sunbeds. Booked a Master Suite that had a huge seaview balcony. Master Suite is open planned so no doors to close off the bedroom at night.

Experiência positiva: Hotel bem localizado com excelente staff e um bom pequeno almoço. Quartos espaçosos e confortáveis. Ponto bastante negativo e os quartos comunicantes. Insonorização ausente, se alguém estiver nessa zona ou na casa de banho, todo o som passa por aí, tendo alturas que até parece que estão no nosso quarto.

Experiência fantástica: Tras una semana de rutas por la isla bien de montañas y sol, volver al hotel era reparador. Piscina y hamacas con mojitos. Destacar la atención del personal, Carla gracias por los tips. La ubicación está muy bien y el parking incluido es muy destacable. Nuestra habitación para 3, era muy grande y con vista mar, todo muy limpio. Deseando volver. Alimentos e bebidas: Tarifa con desayuno. Buffet es necesario para arrancar con energía. Muy completo. Soy vegetariano y tenía verduras (champiñones, tomate asados, rostis o papas, especie quiche) ensaladas, leche vegetal, margarina, yogures de soja (algún día), tortitas o crepes, muchos tipos de frutas....

Experiência negativa: Loin d’être un 5 étoiles je donnerais même pas 3 étoiles a cet hôtel, salle de bain très sale a l’arrivée poiles d’autres clientes laissé dans la douche et traces de calcaires partout (voir photos) sans parler du petit déjeuner hyper industriel. Expérience nulle je ne reviendrai pas.

Experiência negativa: Needs a lot of improvement on cleaning!!! Outside pool lounge chairs and pads, lounge sofa cushions by the pool, umbrellas and pool floor was stained and dirty not acceptable. Inside pool and jacuzzi suppose to be hot and was cold i let management know and they never did anything about it .Also indoor pool is very dirty needs cleaning asap I will post pictures for confirmation. I really didn't enjoyed the vacation because i was not able to use the facilites. I will not recomend this hotel. Alimentos e bebidas: Food not impressed needs allots of improvement.

We conduct regular detailed cleaning sessions for the outdoor and indoor pool areas. Alongside daily cleaning tasks, our outdoor pool team recently completed a comprehensive cleaning and scrubbing and hosing down of the entire deck area. The white stone stairs leading to the indoor pool are also regularly and thoroughly washed. Unfortunately, the type of stone on the stairway is prone to ingrained staining over the years, despite using appropriate cleaning chemicals. Plans are underway for refurbishment in certain areas, which we hope will include the replacement of the stoned stairway. Experiência fantástica: Escribo esta reseña todavía desde el hotel, a un día de irnos, y con una pena enorme. Desde el día de la llegada, hasta hoy, con la última cena de la estancia ha sido todo increíble. El recibimiento con un upgrade de la habitación debido al programa meliareward a una suite royal, una habitación con todas las comodidades y unas vistas increíbles. El buffet (vinimos con media pension), no esperen un buffet enorme con infinitos platos, ahora, todo los platos que tienen, carnes, pescados,verduras.. hechos con gran mimo y exquisitos. La materia prima de gran calidad. Y el personal, no se les puede poner ni un pero, súper serviciales, agradables, dispuestos a ayudar, explicar y recomendar cualquier cosa de la isla. Todos, recepción, comedor, bar de la piscina..... Por lo tanto, ya nos vamos y ya estamos con ganas de volver que seguro que lo haremos. Al rededor del hotel se puede encontrar todo tipo de servicios, rutas en mtb, motos de agua, Kayak, restaurantes, supermercados, farmacias...todo está muy a mano Somos dos familias que nos hemos alojado en la habitación 804 y 803

Experiência negativa: One of the worst hotels I have ever stayed at. Our room AC wouldn’t work. It would turn on but never got under 80 degrees. It was a miserable experience and the room had a musty closet smell. And very strange but they had no sheet on the bed, only a top sheet and comforter. We asked for a fan, and they had none. They offered to move us but said the other rooms would be the same and that was the coolest our room could get. We didn’t sleep at all, but had no other choice. I do not recommend this to anyone. Detalhes relevantes: It’s a landlocked cruise ship. The demographic is 65 plus, which is totally fine, but not an exciting environment..felt like a hot spot for group trips

Experiência negativa: Hotel z jedzeniem tak miałkim, że smakuje chyba tylko emerytom z UK i Niemiec, wszystkiego dużo na pokaz (śniadania), a niesmaczne. Pieczywo - napompowane, pewnie wypiekane z mrożonego ciasta), pomidory i ogorki - jasne i wodniste, bez smaku, jajecznica zbyt scieta, jajka na twardo sine (zbyt dlugo gotowane), jajka sadzone ledwo ścięte. Sery ok, chociaz trafil mi sie popsuty twarozek (dzien wczesniej jadlam ten ser i byl ok, wiec moze dali stary). Slaby wybor jedzenia wegetarianskiego. Sosy typu majonez czy keczup w jednorazowych woreczkach, to nie byl nawet Heinz. Rozczarowujace mocno. Gdybym wiedziala, ze takie slabe jedzenie, to wzielabym po prostu bez sniadan i chodzila 3km zjesc gdzies indziej, a najlepiej inny hotel. Liczylismy na dobre jedzenie, bo codziennie chodzilismy na piesze wycieczki i nie dalo nam to energii na start. Co do czystosci w pokoju to przydalby sie deep clean, bo fugi, plesn, zacieki z mydla - porzadna ilosc octu czy kwasku cytrynowego albo jakiegos wybielacza by sobie z tym poradzily. Po wejsciu do recepcji az do wind duszacy zapach kwiatego odswiezacza powietrza, bardzo drazniacy nos. Za ponad 100€ za dobe spodziewalam sie lepszych warunkow, tourist trap, nigdy wiecej. Experiência positiva: Sauberes und ordentliches Hotel in guter Lage. Busfahrt zum Flughafen und Funchal dauert nicht lange. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Frühstück in Ordnung. Camera spațioasă, patul confortabil, la baie produse de calitate, Noi am avut cameră cu vedere la ocean, recomand această opțiune. Micul dejun bun, diversificat, cu fructe multe și brânzeturi foarte bune. Din balcon am avut o minunata priveliște către ocean și faleză. E un hotel pe care îl recomand. Experiência fantástica: PERFEKTNÍ ! Není nic, co bychom mohli vytknout. Moc doporučujeme pobyt v tomto hotelu, protože má samé výhody. +Při příchodu na recepci nás přivítal moc milý a ochotný personál (ten byl k dispozici při každé návštěvě recepce). +Pokoj byl čistý, moc hezky vybavený a především pravidelně uklizený a voňavý. +Poloha je naprosto perfektní. Pokud se vrátíme na Madeiru, tak 100% do tohoto hotelu. Velkou výhodou je také podzemní parkoviště a případně i místa okolo hotelu +Bazén (vnitřní i venkovní) vždy čistý a udržovaný. Fitness moderně vybavené! +Jídlo (snídaně a večeře) bylo vynikající. Shodli jsme se, že jsme nikde lepší jídlo v hotelu neměli. ->Na snídani výběr na co si vzpomenete (od jogurtů přes několik druhů sýrů, vajíčka na mnoho způsobů, palačinky, ovoce, saláty, několik druhů pečiva,...). Není snad nic, co by chybělo. Velmi oceňuji také 3 druhy rostlinných mlék -> Na večeři každý den něco jiného (tématicky). Měli jsme madeirskou kuchyni, italskou, středomořskou, ... . Vždy si každý vybere! Vše je čerstvé (steaky připraví přímo před vámi) a především chuťově výborné! -> Také oceňujeme, že je jídlo pravidelně doplňováno. Nestalo se, že by na nás nezbylo i přesto, že jsme několikrát přišli velmi pozdě. +V okolí hotelu je spousta skvělých podniků a zábavy +V hotelu je pravidelně živá hudba či různé aktivity a jiné akce. Vždy je vyvěšený plakát s dostatečným předstihem :-) Tímto velmi děkujeme veškerému personálu hotelu za jejich snahu nám pobyt udělat příjemným. Experiência fantástica: We stayed four nights at Melia Madeira. The location of the hotel is excellent. Many restaurants close by, walking distance. The beach is also nearby. We rented a car picked up at the hotel. You can park in the hotel's indoor garage. The room is spacious. We love our terrace and it has an ocean view, with no obstruction. However, I do find my room is a little dated. The staff is very friendly. They are polite and make you feel very welcoming. One day, my wife couldn't find one of her rings or she might have dropped it somewhere in the hotel. We gave the description to the front desk staff, hoping to see if someone could find it. Fortunately, they did find the ring and they were kind enough to ship it to us. Thank you so much for your excellent services!

Experiência fantástica: I had a fantastic stay at Melia Madeira Mare. The facilities are top-notch, and the rooms were comfortable and well-maintained. The breakfast was a real highlight, with a delicious variety to choose from every morning. Special shoutout to Dipesh and Roshan and the entire team for their exceptional service—they made each morning a pleasure. The staff’s warm hospitality truly enhanced my experience. We also enjoyed the delicious fresh omelets expertly prepared by Chef Hari, adding a perfect touch to our breakfast. I highly recommend Melia Madeira Mare for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. Experiência fantástica: Lokalizacja bardzo dobra, nieopodal przystanku autobusowego, oraz sklepu (Pingo Doce - odpowiednik polskiej Biedronki). Pokoje wygodne, przestronne, łazienki duże, z wanną i prysznicem. Posiłki smaczne, urozmaicone, obfite. Kawa z expresu, ale także dolewana (ta smaczniejsza). Obsługa bardzo miła i pomocna. Hotel godny polecenia. Pod każdym względem.

Experiência positiva: Das Hotel ist schon ein wenig in die Jahre gekommen. Ich fand unser Zimmer etwas dunkel(Ebene 3). Ein großes King Size Bett für zwei Personen finde ich gut, aber nur ein großes Deckbett für zwei Personen finde ich unpraktisch. Der Zimmerservice ist gut . Wir hatten Halbpension gebucht, die es in Buffetform gibt. Das Essen war ok, manchmal leider etwas kühl. Die Brötchen zum Frühstück waren etwas pappig.

Experiência fantástica: We had a good time in the hotel. It was clean and luxurious. The staff was super friendly. The buffet was one of the most delicious buffet I tried. The buffet had a lot of choices. It is suitable for all. I eat lots of Pastel de Nata. There are also many good nearby restaurants. The nearest bus station is within walking distance.

Experiência positiva: Nie und nimmer ein 5-Sterne Niveau. Wir hatten ein Superior Zimmer gebucht. Auf telefonische Nachfrage vor der Buchung wurde uns versichert, dass sich die Superior Zimmer auf den obersten Etagen des Hotels (8.-10. Stock) befinden, mit uneingeschränktem Meerblick. Wir bekamen Zimmer Nr. 401 (4. Stock) und befanden uns im letzten Eck des Hotels mit sehr eingeschränktem Meerblick und viel Radau. Kaum Möglichkeiten zum Aufhängen im Zimmer (nasse Handtücher im Bad, Jacken etc.). Das Zimmer an sich war gut. Sehr geräumig mit zusätzlicher Sitzmöglichkeit. Das Frühstücksbuffet (Wurst und Käse) besteht aus Großhandelsware. Keine Marmeladenauswahl, keine Nougatcreme, 1 Honig. Täglich gleiches Angebot. Kaffee so lala. 3 verfügbare Steckdosen im Zimmer, davon 2 schwer zugänglich. Keine Möglichkeit den eigenen Fön im Bad einzustecken. Somit war Fönen ohne Spiegel angesagt. Und dies alles im 5 Sterne Hotel. Positiv zu erwähnen ist das kostenlose Parken des Mietwagens in der Tiefgarage und die sehr gute Verdunkelungsmöglichkeit im Zimmer. Lage des Hotels auch sehr gut.

Experiência fantástica: Six jours en demi-pension à l'hôtel Melia mare de funchal. L'hôtel est situé en front de mer avec beaucoup de restaurants tout autour. L'accueil est très professionnel et sympathique. La gentillesse du personnel souriant participe à notre bien-être. Un grand merci à Carla et Vanda pour leur bienveillance et leur efficacité. Les buffets du petit déjeuner et du dîner sont variés. La tentation est grande de tout goûter. Avec le soleil prendre ses repas sur la terrasse est un plus. Les petites attentions de la direction sont touchantes.( chocolats,madère, invitation au restaurant Massimo) La piscine et le jacuzzi après une journée de balade nous tendent les bras. La chambre 1004 au dixième étage avec sa grande terrasse et ses transats ,un plus. Chambre bien insonorisée. La direction serait bien inspirée de changer la literie(matelas avec des ressorts) manque de moelleux. Le standard actuel, matelas en mousse avec mémoire de forme. Voilà la seule remarque négative. Le parking gratuit, super. Les animations musicales le soir près du bar, très agréables. Le personnel est top pour servir de délicieux cocktails. Experiência fantástica: Spędzilismy w tym hotelu pięknych 12 dni. Obsługa hotelowa przemiła, zaangażowana, służąca pomocą i zawsze uśmiechnieta. Pokoje przestronne, czyste, duże wygodne łóżka. Łatwy dostęp do komunikacji miejskiej. Posiłki to czysta poezja smaku i rozkosz dla podniebienia - pyszne śniadania, do obiadokolacji trzeba zakupić napoje w przystępnej cenie, ale jedzenie jest różnorodne, duży wybór ciast i owoców. Podziemny parking w cenie pobytu. Bardzo miłym akcentem było w w dniu naszej rocznicy ślubu gdy do kolacji otrzymaliśmy po kieliszku wina Madeira a nastepnego dnia w pokoju czekała na nas niespodzianka - butelka białego wina schłodzonego w Coolerze oraz zestaw słodkości. Zadbano też o wszystkie Panie które z okazji Dnia Kobiet otrzymały w prezencie kwiatek oraz bon na darmowego drinka. Pozdrawiamy serdecznie całą obsługę hotelu - Małgorzata i Dariusz z pokoju 307. We spent 12 beautiful days in this hotel. The hotel staff is very nice, committed, helpful and always smiling. Rooms spacious, clean, large comfortable beds. Easy access to public transport. The meals are pure poetry of taste and a delight for the palate - delicious breakfasts, for lunch you have to buy drinks at an affordable price, but the food is varied, with a large selection of cakes and fruit. Underground parking included in the price of the stay. A very nice accent was the day of our wedding anniversary when we received a glass of Madeira wine with dinner, and the next day there was a surprise waiting for us in the room - a bottle of white wine chilled in the Cooler and a set of sweets. The hotel also took care of all the ladies who, on the occasion of Women's Day, received a flower and a voucher for a free drink as a gift. Greetings to the entire hotel staff. Thank you. Experiência negativa: Wir waren Gast in einem anderen Hotel und besuchten die Bar wegen einer bestimmten Gruppe, die uns zuvor anderswo gut gefallen hatte. Zu Ostern war die Insel voll! Die Stimmung in der Bar war aber gruselig. Ich bewundere die tolle Band, die das ausgehalten hat . Wir saßen ewig, ohne dass ein Kellner gekommen wäre. Das hat nichts von 5 Sterne ! Traurig- aber nicht was wir erhofft hatten.

Experiência fantástica: Aún me quedan unos días en el hotel pero por ahora me está gustando mucho, cualquier problema o cosa que necesites lo solucionan muy rápido y a pesar de ser un hotel muy grande, me parece que es muy familiar en el sentido de que parece que todos se conocen, hay un ambiente muy bonito y no sé con quién fue que estuvimos hablando pero estaba muy amistoso y nos dijo que había estado de vacaciones muy cerca de dónde vivimos, nos está encantando. Quartos: Las habitaciones están muy bien equipadas con productos cómo crema, jabón de manos y de ducha, champú y acondicionador. Utensilios cómo secador de pelo, toallas y albornoces. Atividades próximas: Está al lado de la ciudad por lo que se puede ir andando a cualquier sitio de esta misma a comer, coger un teleférico e irte a la montaña o coger un bus turístico que te lleve por toda la isla. Segurança: Al garaje y a las habitaciones se accede gracias a una tarjeta y al resto de sitios como restaurantes, suelen pedir tu número de habitación para acceder así que es muy complicado que alguien no registrado en el hotel pueda entrar. Alimentos e bebidas: Lo único que vi que fue el desayuno, tienen opciones súper variadas en cualquier aspecto, tienen panes y bollos de muchos tipos e ingredientes, leche semidesnatada, desnatada, de soja, de avellanas, yogures de todos los sabores, muchas frutas diferentes, embutido variado y muchos quesos y cereales. Detalhes relevantes: En caso de necesitar algo, en recepción siempre tienen un montón de cosas diferentes que regalan o prestan cómo cepillos de dientes y dentífrico o toallas para la piscina.

Experiência fantástica: Hotel położony w bardzo atrakcyjnym miejscu. Blisko promenady biegnącej wzdłuż brzegu oceanu - idealny układ dla ceniących możliwość spacerowania. Łatwy dostęp do komunikacji miejskiej, dzięki której możemy zwiedzać całe Funchal i najbliższe okolice. Sprawdzi się również jako baza do wypadów w dalsze zakątki wyspy. Wszędzie mnóstwo sklepów, restauracji i barów, więc dla miłośników miejscowej kuchni okazja do spróbowania wielu oryginalnych dań (i napojów ;-). Pokoje czyste, wygodne - regularnie sprzątane. Bardzo życzliwa obsługa hotelu, restauracji i barów. Mam chyba tylko dwa zastrzeżenia: ze względu na położenie blisko centrum i ruchliwej ulicy jest dosyć głośno. Jedzenie w restauracji mogłoby by być bardziej urozmaicone, od hotelu z pięcioma gwiazdkami oczekiwałem chyba trochę więcej. W sumie jestem bardzo zadowolony z pobytu. Pozdrowienia dla całej obsługi.

Experiência fantástica: Wybraliśmy ten hotel na przedłużony weekend ze względu na SPA - bardzo nam się podobało. Obsługa była bardzo miła- mąż który obchodził urodziny dostał mały prezent co było bardzo przyjemne. Położenie hotelu pozwala na spacery i wizyty w różnych restauracjach, które znajdują się niedaleko.

Experiência positiva: Fomos muito bem recebidos. Estacionamento interior privado. Com elevadores até a zona dos quartos. Piscina interior aquecida e jacuzzi ao qual usufrui. Também tem piscina exterior enorme com vista para o Mar. O quarto com vista para o mar , sempre limpo com bom serviço de limpeza e higiene e troca de toalhas diário. Ar condicionado, televisão com os principais canais de desporto. Bar com muita variedades cocktail e serviços de restaurante o qual não usufrui por opção. De fácil acesso e central, pois fica muito perto das principais zonas de comércio Aconselho a quem visitar a Madeira e procure um Hotel onde ficar!

Experiência positiva: O Hotel é fabuloso, os quartos, as salas, piscina, localização, o pessoal é muito atencioso e simpático. O pequeno almoço é muito mau, o que é uma pena num espaço onde tudo é agradável, a qualidade e a variedade seja tão má. Presunto só o vi uma vez e cheio de gordura, os enchidos e fiambres são fracos. O pão é muito mau, farinhento e seco, embora os croissants sejam bons, principalmente os de sementes, mas só os vimos uma vez nos 4 dias que ai estive. Os queijos resumem-se a um fatiado e uns cubos, embora também exista um redondo grande muiito mau. As frutas têm pouca variedade e a que existe ... Ananás escuro e uvas tocadas..Os sumos são de pacote e muito mau.. Enfim. Os ovos mexidos parecem farinha.. Não é aceitável oferecerem um pequeno almoço tão mau quando o mesmo é pago e se insere num espaço tão agradável que se quer de 5 estrelas Carlos Henriques

Experiência positiva: Lovely hotel and service. Great facilities, especially the indoor pool which is heated. Loved the omelettes for breakfast by chef Hari. We were in Madeira for the first time and staying for a week for my wife's birthday. I requested for an upgrade (gold elite member), and Artur somehow managed to get us one. Only star taken off for the relatively hard mattresses and minimal charging points in the rooms! But not a deal breaker...

Experiência negativa: No idea how this hotel is considered a 5 Star hotel. This is a two star hotel max, then I wouldn’t be complaining about this service. They drastically need to address their beds- it would be more comfortable sleeping on the floor. They added a topper after we weren’t able to sleep on them, but it’s very thin and cheap- not enough to address the beds being box springs with the springs digging into you when you try to sleep. While the rooms are spacious, the air conditioning isn’t capable of cooling the rooms. The whole island should get Uber because Bolt sucks and you do need to get a ride to go anywhere from this hotel. Really thought people needed this warning, we would’ve moved to another hotel if it wasn’t that it’s difficult to get anywhere, especially with luggage. Quartos: Useless to have large rooms you can’t sleep in because the beds seem they got them from the street. They owe you a massage from the damage to your back from their beds. Absolutely awful pillows and it was dirty! Acessibilidade a pé: You have to drive anywhere from here, like to get to where the nice hotels are with good food. Detalhes relevantes: You can’t sleep on their beds and AC barely works. Rooms aren’t very clean, we had to be changed.

Experiência fantástica: Fabulosa experiencia. Um Hotel dedicado ao bem estar dos seus clientes. Deparamo-nos logo na recepção com pessoas maravilhosas que nos receberam sorridentes e com uma simpatia extrema, prontos para nos atender e encaminhar para os nossos quartos ou outros serviços que o Hotel nos disponibiliza, ou mesmo indicar pontos de referência turística a visitar na Madeira. As instalações e áreas envolventes, sao reflexo da dedicação e do profissionalismo de todo Staff. Ficamos numa suberba Royal Suite, que conta com tudo o que necessitamos para a nossa estadia de 4 noites, uma sala espaçosa, uma cozinha que permitia a confecção de refeições ligeiras e um quarto de generosas dimensões, toda a Suite com uma fabulosa vista para o mar azul da ilha. Saliento o conforto, a limpeza e higienizacao e a insonorização da suite, que nos ofereceu um delicioso descanso. As duas piscinas, interior e exterior, foram ideais para recuperar dos passeios turísticos. O bufet de pequeno almoco, sempre fresco e variado proprocionou um excelente inicio de dia. Aproveitámos um jantar temático da Madeira que contou com pratos típicos da Ilha e ainda fomos prendados com uma maravilhosa exibição do rancho foclorico da madeira. Quero agradecer a todo o pessoal do departamento recepção que nos proporcionou uma experiência fenomenal e que nos fizeram sentir em casa, agradeço também a todo o pessoal que tratou da arrumacao diária e higienizacao pelo maravilhoso trabalho que tiveram. Todos/as excelentes profissionais. Quartos: Limpos, sempre arrumados com boa luz. Experiência fantástica: Incrível estadia, e foi em outubro! Atendimento e disponibilidade para ajudar de toda a gente sempre a 100%, simpatia a 100%! O quarto era incrível, maioria do hotel tem a vista que tínhamos e era espetacular, vista mar! Os pequenos almoços são muito bons, super completos, inclui um cozinheiro para fazer na hora, para nós pedimos entre os ovos mexidos ou omeletes ao gosto. Comido do hotel em geral também muito boa! Super super cuidado, limpo. Foi uma estadia incrível! Quando voltar à cá madeira é aqui que fico, 100% de certeza!! Quartos: Incrível vista, super bem equipa dos, não faltava nada! Atividades próximas: Tudo era próximo, e existe bolt. Segurança: Senti-me sempre em Seguranca, e qualquer coisa necessária era sempre rapidamente assistida! Experiência fantástica: Nous avons séjourné dans ce magnifique hôtel, point clé pour assurer des vacances réussies. Des chambres spacieuses et des literies très confortables. Rien ne manque ! piscines extérieure et intérieure, salle de sport, salle de jeux, parking intérieur pour les voitures... Je regrette juste l'absence d'un fer à repasser dans la chambre. The location is great-close to the Funchal centre and Port, Marina, the personnel does it best to serve everyone the best possible! Breakfasts are very good and tasty. The room with the front ocean view and terrace is great! We also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool and jacuzzi! The good value for money in this category

Experiência fantástica: OMG, if you plan to visit Madeira Island the Melia Madeira Mare Resort and Spa (MMM) is a TRULY great place to stay! Although this beautiful resort is not too big or not too small, it is run by a wonderful General Manager (João) who has somehow created and continues to nurture an absolutely amazing and overall resort culture where all of his Team treat their guests just like family! João's Team also seem to think the world of him too and you can often see him helping with guest registrations, seating guests in the dining room, and hosting parties for the hotel's anniversary! Amazing! Keep in mind that, quite often, you will hear that many hotels/resorts "talk the talk" that they too treat their guests like family but João and his delightfully wonderful Team actually talk very little but clearly can deliver 100%! From the very moment that you arrive at this beautiful and well equipped and spotlessly maintained resort, you will be greeted like your family hasn't seen you in a very long time! Let me assure you that although I now have a home here on Madeira Island, any time that I need a "break", I am certain to stay at the MMM and it is the ONLY hotel/resort that my family, friends, and colleagues will stay at, at my insistence! I greatly enjoy being right! As a senior executive/engineer in the healthcare industry for decades, I have had to stay at many hotels and the MMM is my all time winner 'across the board'! Experiência positiva: Vom 5 Sterne Standard doch ein gutes Stück entfernt. Bei genaueren Hinsehen,ohne groß zu suchen, findet man einige Mängel die eigentlich nicht sein müssten. So z.B. Schimmelsporen im Badezimmer. Der Innenpool weist einige Mängel auf. Im Zimmer finden wir immer wieder Ameisen. Das Personal im Service ist freundlich und stets bemüht. Das Frühstück ist okay, das Abendmenü ist großzügig. Wenn das Essen warm und die Messer scharf wären könnte man sogar von gelungen sprechen. Alles in allem kann ich mir einen nochmaligen Aufenthalt hier doch vorstellen. Positiv war, dass zu meinem Geburtstag eine nette Überraschung aufs Zimmer gelegt wurde.

Experiência fantástica: Sehr zufrieden... Ausgesprochen freundlicher Service, saubere geräumige Zimmer, Schwimmbad innen und Pool aussen... Grosses Buffet mit abwechslungsreichen Gerichten, immer auch mit Dessertbuffet, Früchten und Salaten... Auch Frühstück mit reichlichem Buffet für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.. und die Preise sind gut. Nicht teuer. Auch an der Bar... Und es liegt sehr schön mit Meerblick. Ich komme gern wieder.

Experiência positiva: Stayed here for 8 days - wasn't impressed with some of the food that was quite poor - restaurant service was poor too, especially regarding drinks that arrived late (on one evening - they arrived after we had eaten). Also we were bothered by outside noise/music especially in the evening. A 5 star hotel but unfortunately not 5 star service - won't be returning - there are far better 5 star hotels on the island.

Experiência positiva: Overall, it is mid-range hotel. The room size is big enough for two. We had overview room with sofa bed, with balcony. Bathroom does not have enough countertop space for my toiletry stuff. Interior is bit of outdated. Breakfast is pretty large of selections, but the items are all common stuff, lack of specialty from Maderia, or Portugal, It is about 30 minutes walking to downtown. Bed is comfortable. f. Quartos: Big and clean, interior is bit of outdated. Bathroom is lack of countertop space Acessibilidade a pé: 30 minutes walking to downtown Alimentos e bebidas: Breakfast has large of selection, but lack of local or regional specialty.

Experiência positiva: Só depois da reserva é que nos foi comunicado que o restaurante e bar estariam em obras e durante a estadia houve infiltração de águas e a piscina interior e sala de jogos ficou vedada. Apesar do staff ter sido simpático e ter disponibilizado a piscina interior do hotel vizinho, a gerência deveria ter tudo outro "approache" ao cliente.

Experiência fantástica: I was able to spend few nights here and everything was great. What stood out to me the most was the breakfast buffet staff specially the Chef at omelette stand, I think his name was Hari and he went above and beyond to deliver 5 star service, he made sure the omelette were cooked a little long when he noticed that it was for my young son. The front desk staff were ok and didn’t seem that friendly.

La nota dolente è l’hotel in generale (vecchio), i suoi servizi e le camere in particolare; la mia era pessima e non molto pulita, il bagno letteralmente rotto (piastrelle rotte, sciacquone non funzionante). Se fosse stato un 2/3 stelle il giudizio sarebbe stato diverso ma il Melia Madeira si pregia di essere in 5

Experiência fantástica: Uma excelente estadia num excelente hotel! O quarto era bastante espaçoso e com uma óptima disposição. A varanda tinha uma fantástica vista. A cama e almofadas eram muito confortáveis e tinham uma apresentação impecável! Todo o staff foi muito atencioso durante a minha estadia, atenderam a todos os pedidos com celeridade e simpatia. Também tive o prazer de conhecer o director do hotel, é uma pessoa incrível! O hotel fica muito bem localizado, perto de muitas zonas importantes e com boas vistas. Ainda posso comentar o pequeno-almoço, foi uma experiência gastronómica muito agradável com omeletes feitas no momento, produtos frescos e tradicionais da região, tudo com a melhor qualidade. Experiência fantástica: The stay and room was five stars all the way. The service and staff are beyond my expectations. I had just completed my 8 day solo walk around the island and asked if it was possible to have a quieter room away from the road (I booked a lateral sea view room with a balcony, which is also excellent itself). Carla at reception was very helpful and found me another room, an unexpected upgrade, with a larger balcony and direct sea view. I also appreciated her sincere recommendation for dinner, specifically "no touristy restaurants please". I listened and had a seafood platter at PVP - Pão, Vinho e Petiscos, opposite the hotel, and it was the best I have had in a long time! My picnic (on the day I couldn't have breakfast), taxis and room changes were all efficiently organised and carried out. Unfortunately, while I was there, the hotel was undergoing some refurbishment due to damage caused by the bad weather, and I think part of the restaurant overlooking the pool was closed, as was the indoor pool. I imagine it would be an even better experience if these areas were not closed. However, we were given plenty of notice of the renovation before we checked in. As a substitute, the hotel did well to liaise with the neighbouring hotel to allow us to use their indoor pool. Overall a great stay and only regret is, I could not extend my stay as the hotel was fully booked on my last night in Funchal. I give the location 4 stars as by walking it is about 30-40 mins away from the Funchal centre. If you have a car, it's just max. 10 mins away depending on the traffic.

Experiência negativa: Per un hotel 5 stelle un livello cosi basso di pulizia e servizi è inconcepibile. Alla spa si accede a pagamento 15€ al giorno, Le camere sono vecchie e spesso non molto pulite. La struttura avrebbe bisogno di una ristrutturazione.

Experiência positiva: I visited the spa. Had a fabulous massage & after enjoyed the beautiful , peaceful surroundings. A flotation pool / jacuzzi / steam & sauna all available. Highly recommended after your legs get so tired from walking so much!!!

Experiência fantástica: Great proper five star hotel with views of the Atlantic Ocean. Was upgraded to royal suite upon check in thanks to Melia Rewards status, massive room with loads of amenities. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Free parking garage under the hotel. Room service good value and delicious. Indoor and outdoor pool for use by all guests. Turn down service in the evenings with chocolate on beds a very nice touch. Breakfast was extensive and whilst it was busy the staff managed the guests very well. My only gripe is that the spa access is 15 euros for guests, it really should be included.

De realçar a simpatia e profissionalismo do Sr. Lenine! Sem dúvida um amigo que fica! Recomendo. Quartos: Enormes. Bem mobilados, corresponde às necessidade e expectativas. Atividades próximas: A 15min a pé do centro do Funchal. Com imensos táxis e com autocarros que permitem a locomoção. Com muita vida e atividades muito perto. Segurança: Não senti em momento algum que estava inseguro ou que tinha que ter cuidado com a segurança. Acessibilidade a pé: Bons acessos, parque de estacionamento e com zonas para lazer muito perto. Alimentos e bebidas: Pequeno almoço e jantar com variedade qb. A comida é boa, mas sinto que poderia haver um bocadinho mais de variedade (mas não fiquei desiludido de todo com o que me foi apresentado!) Detalhes relevantes: Todos os funcionários são muito atenciosos.
Experiência fantástica: Really enjoyed our stay here. On arrival we were greeted by friendly, helpful staff who had us checked in in no time at all. Everything was explained well and our luggage was taken to our room for us. The room was on the 9th floor. Spacious and clean. The balcony had a table and two chairs, with a side view of the sea, overlooking the courtyard seating area and indoor pool. Bed comfort was OK, my husband struggled to get comfortable, even with the choice of two pillow types, I was fine. The housekeeping team were always friendly and helpful if we needed anything. Shower pressure could have been better, the design of the shower and short screen meant water easily splashed out onto the floor. Breakfast was included in our stay. The food was repetitive but it caters for a lot of guests and there was more than enough available to mix it up during our stay. The coffee machines seemed to be a bit hit and miss. Often one of the three available was out of use. It was great eating outside, especially with the lovely lady and her birds of prey keeping any pesky gulls and pigeons away. Nice touch! The location is great, right on the route to Funchal Town. An easy walk if you like a reasonable long stroll or use one of the local buses, they're reliable and inexpensive. There is a bus stop a short walk from reception. Staff were helpful with our queries and booked our dolphin catamaran excursion. Didn't use the gym or spa as we were out a lot of the time exploring the island but the indoor pool was lovely in the morning before breakfast. Room service, the pool bar and the bar by reception were all good. Prices are very reasonable and service was great. The free secured car park under the hotel was ideal for our little rental car and took the stress out of parking around the hotel. There are some lovely bars along the side of the hotel and restaurants. You can't really go wrong dining in Madeira! Thanks for a wonderful stay. We look forward to returning!

Experiência fantástica: Very good location. The bus station is in front of the hotel. No 1 and 2 take you to the center and no 48 takes you to Monte where you can visit the Gardens (buy the Giro Buș card). Breakfast was plentiful. If you haven’t already booked with dinner included, you have the possibility to book it every day at the hotel for €30 (buffet). However, we recommend to try the many restaurants around the hotel. If you are into sea/ocean food, there is a very good option in front of the hotel and the prices are more than reasonable. Madeira is a great place to visit and Melia a nice and secure hotel to stay at.

Experiência positiva: Keine Ahnung wo die 5 Sterne herkommen. Selbst gemalt? Landestypische? Wenn man 5 Sterne erwartet, wird man sicher enttäuscht. Das Personal ist ok. Die Dame, die einem zum Frühstück begrüßen ist herausragend. Wir nannten sie " The real Sunshine from Madeira". Die Auflagen am Pool sind in einem erbärmlichen Zustand. Die Liegen teilweise kaputt. Bei der Reinigung der Zimmer ist noch viel Luft nach oben. Zwischen Waschbecken und Spiegel fanden wir Haare, die nicht von uns waren. Diese lagen auch nach zwei Wochen noch da. Vermutlich auch heute noch. Insgesamt eine nette Zeit, aber wir werden das Hotel nicht noch einmal buchen.

Experiência negativa: Pequeno almoço não está a altura do Meliã Madeira. Máquinas de café dando defeito dois dias consecutivos. Uma variedade de suco, croissant torrado. Já conheci melhores, por isso isso comparo. Corredores de acesso aos quartos parecendo uma sauna, não tem como abrir as janelas. Deixou a desejar, pequenos detalhes fazem a diferença.

Experiência positiva: nice hotel close to a lot of fun spots and restaurants. Pool, on site dining, beach near by- good value for money. And the breakfast spread is good too! Artur at the front desk went above and beyond to help- I always appreciate staff like him.

Experiência positiva: Das Hotel liegt in dem Bereich, wo viele Hotels sind. Sie liegt in der Nähe vom Meer, dass schnell zu erreichen ist. Vom Hotel kommst du schnell nach Funchal, das geht wunderbar mit dem Buslinien eins und zwei. Der Service im Haus ist wie oben beschrieben. Überall im Haus ist WLAN und im Haus sind Wellness, Oase und ein Swimmingpool. In der Nähe sind zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten, die man zu Fuß erreichen kann. Die Räume sind wunderbar zu kühlen. Wir waren in einer Zeit da, wo es extrem warm war, anders als erwartet, da war die Klimaanlage eine große Hilfe.

Experiência positiva: A nice hotel but few issues. * I had a. Issue with the gym, which is closed if you check in the Sunday. Also, it seams you have to book ahead if you want to use it. I was denier entry because I didn't had "proper sport cloths" (I had clean sport shoes) and didn't booked ahead. Which is a very poor experience when you rent for a night and you are denied the access to the gym the whole stay. However Tina (guest experience manager) solved the issue by explaining the situation to the spa/gym accueil. So many thanks to her. * The bedroom looks nice but has shower, no bathtub. It seams a bit old. * bar closed the Sunday * the breakfast is a buffet with a lot of choice including salted, sweet, juices and got drinks, cereals... *the bedroom had a balcony with a view on the sea and lido promenade. Very nice to take the sun.

Experiência positiva: Very friendly and clean hotel. All staff were especially attentive to ensure our stay was enjoyable. The a la carte restaurant food was excellent. The only downside was that the outer decking beyond the the pool surround needed urgently replacing/repairing as there were many trip hazards especially if wearing sandals/flip flops near the pool area

Experiência fantástica: Truly a saviour for the moments that I needed to seek asylum and try to attain a safe haven for my own mental peace and tranquility. And appreciate the true beauty in nature. I loved this hotel, in every way. From the staff all the way to the room service food to the indoor swimming pool. I’m very glad I stayed here for longer. I can’t wait to be back again soon.
