Experiência positiva: Out of the 5 places we stayed during our trip in Madeira, Casa da Capelinha was the most authentic stay, with the most personal attention to guests by the owners. Unfortunately the location of this accommodation doesn’t offer much in regard to things to see and do in the area, including places to eat. There is a restaurant on the property with good food and an even better view. As we only stayed one night, we didn’t make much use of the facilities, but they do have a kitchenette which is great for longer stays to be able to cook your own meals (which is something we personally enjoy, also Madeira as a whole doesn’t have a wide variety of choice when it comes to food). The pool is lovely to cool off after a day of hiking and site seeing. Casa de Capelinha has a homey feel and great for families traveling with young children.

Experiência fantástica: Very peaceful place in Ponta Delgada. We stayed in a mini apartment at first floor: everything were clean and comfortable and with a direct access to the pool. Also view of ocean is amazing. We choose the place to live the north cost, which is 50mins far from the capital Funchal, and to be in the center position for all trails. Atividades próximas: Very few places in Ponta Delgada. To eat I would suggest Sao Vicente (5 min by car) or Boa Ventura (10 min). Acessibilidade a pé: To get to Ponta Delgada, or Sao Vicente, it's much better to rent a car. No public transport service as of now. Also, in order to visit the north, you also need a car.

Experiência fantástica: If you look for the perfect hotel at the North coast with an ideal location, very nice and familiar owners, take this fantastic Mini hotel. Very comfortable rooms with air condition, which makes very warm in winter, perfect beds, nice and large terrace or balcony and a beautiful seaview. Luxurious pool, good bar and restaurant indoor and outdoor. And to top it all - a very good price. Compared to other hotels it is so much worth the small money. But very well booked, so reserve better much in advance. Always the best to book them directly. They answer very fast.

Experiência fantástica: We stayed here one night with our 11y daughter. We had room no 5. It had a really nice view of the church, the mountains and the sea. At night, the only thing we could hear was the sound of the waves in the distant. I slept really well. To be a pool in such a small place, it was really nice and well kept. The place was overall clean and in good shape. We had dinner at the hotel. It was not exceptional, but surely above average for such a place. A beautiful cat watched the guest closely hoping to taste something which added to the atmosphere of a family run business. The couple owning the place we're really nice and helpful. There was a binder with useful info about Madeira in the room. We wished we had booked more than one night.

Experiência positiva: Nice apartment perfectly located at the northern part of Madeira. A 40 min ride to Santana, and around 20 min to Porto Moniz. We had a small kitchen part directly next to our bed. A table with chairs and a sofa in one room. The bathroom was separately and had a window. We had a direct view at the pool. The Apartment was equipped okay :) we missed a kettle. Furthermore the fridge was quite loud during the night, which isn’t too surprising if it is placed next to the bed. Unfortunately the cupboard smelled a little bit strange. So we didn’t use it during our stay. The whole are is quite nice - pool is big, there are a lot of sun beds and the whole staff is super friendly. Also the restaurant offers very good food!

Experiência fantástica: We stayed for 8 nights and traveled around whole island in meantime, amazing quiet place, perfect to rest after busy day. It is in middle bit of Northshore which makes it perfect to travel everywhere. People running hotel were amazing, friendly and very helpful. Almost every room has sea view which make if great place to took at the ocean. There is only 12 rooms so i see it could be great place for a small wedding with a lovely chapel being part of the complex and restaurant with grest food.

Experiência fantástica: This family owned accommodation is very clean and in an extremely good location for adventurers who want to explore Madeira. All of the important sights can be reached within one hour. The the owners and the staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, while the restaurant makes amazing, finger licking food! Always start your meal with a garlic bread to share! ;) We will be sure to visit again and stay in this gem in the northern part of the island! Thank you Capelinha for having us! :)

We arrived later in the evening and although the kitchen was closed the owner made us up some amazing food and we bought a bottle of wine to take to our room. She was super friendly and welcoming. She upgraded us from a studio to an apartment. It was large, modern, and clean. The views from our balcony in the morning were amazing! Love this place.

Experiência positiva: The rooms are very clean and well equipped with cooking utensils. It's quiet and ideal for families because of having a cold but clean swimming pool that can be seen from the room. The hotel has a lovely view of the sea and is short distance from sao Jorge and the lavada walks with a wonderful view of the river valleys. The valleys are filled with chestnuts, oaks and other interesting fauna.

The sea is two minutes walk, a little supermarket as well. If you need pice and quiet with a swimming pool this place is for you

Experiência fantástica: Beautiful place. As a sailor I loved waking up with the sound of the waves and the view of the ocean. Very nice appartement with a very good restaurant as well. Stayed between christmas and new year 2016. Owners and staff are warm, very friendly and kind. This place is a real gemstone, should not reveal it to the world but the effort Paz, Carloz and staff put into it deserve it anyhow.

Experiência fantástica: Casa de Capelinha is a beautiful, small apartment accommodation with a beautiful ocean view and lovely people taking care of you. The apartment was very comfortable, with more than enough room to make you feel at home instantly. The cleaning is excellent, the service too and the owners and their staff are social and making sure you have an excellent stay on Madeira in their accommodation! Ponta Delgada is a lovely, quiet village in the north of Madeira with a mini market, bakery and some small stores and hikes, tourist spots and Funchal are within reach.

Les appartements spacieux et agréables, bien équipés, avec une vue splendide et pour la plupart un balcon. La literie est de très bonne qualité, le linge de lit et de toilette aussi. La piscine est propice au repos et la terrasse du resto a une très belle vue ! Tout est propre, bien tenu et bien entretenu. Coup de ❤️ !

Superbe emplacement, accueil chaleureux, appartement spacieux et très propre, terrasse bien exposée, environnement très calme, jardin avec piscine tres agréable. La vue est magnifique sur l'océan et la montagne. Seuls bémols : l'insuffisante insonorisation entre les étages et la présence d'une baignoire au lieu d'une douche. Nous avons passé un super séjour, l'emplacement est parfait pour rayonner sur l'île.

Experiência fantástica: Diese Unterkunft ist einfach ganz wunderbar. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundlich. Ich würde immer wiederkommen. Wir hatten zwei Studios nebeneinander mit großen Terassen, seperatem Schlafzimmer mit Blick auf den Atlantik. Den morgendlichen Sonnenaufgang über Porto Santo haben wir sehr genossen. Die Studios sind sauber, hell und sehr stilvoll eingerichtet. Es wird täglich bis auf Sonntags gereinigt. Die Küche war voll ausgestattet, sogar Spül- und Trockentücher, Pfeffer und Salz, Toaster, Wasserkocher, Kaffeemaschine etc. standen zur Verfügung. Die ganze Anlage und der Pool sind sehr gepflegt. Die Kapelle gehört zum Grundstück. Die Gerichte im hoteleigenen Restaurant sind sehr lecker. Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich. Wir haben mehrere Male dort gegessen. Es war ein traumhafter Urlaub, herzlichen Dank dafür!!

Experiência fantástica: Nous recommandons à 100%. Appartement très confortable et spacieux avec tout le nécessaire pour passer quelques jours. Très bonne literie et vue exceptionnelle sur l’océan avec le bruit des vagues. Voiture obligatoire car pas grand chose à faire autour il faut faire de la route mais au moins on est au calme.

Experiência fantástica: Eine kleine sympathische Apartmentanlage im Norden der Insel mit einer zweckmäßig ausgestatteten Küche, WLAN-Empfang, schönem Garten und Poolbereich und einem netten Restaurant, was nachmittags geöffnet ist. Toll fand ich die XXL-Bettdecken und das professionelle, zuvorkommende und freundliche Personal. Im Hauptgebäude gibt es 8 Apartments. Aus der oberen Etage hat man durch die riesigen Schiebefenster und vom Balkon aus einen tollen Blick auf den Ozean. Man muss wissen, dass die Apartments in der oberen Etage niemals Sonne abbekommen (im Nebengebäude und in der unteren Etage schon), aber dafür kann man dann den Poolbereich nutzen. Im Ort gibt es alles, was man braucht, 2 Bars, 2 Restaurants, einen Minimarkt. Ich würde wieder kommen.

Experiência positiva: Talvez bom para famílias, apartamentos equipados para quem quer cozinhar. Piscina apetitosa, bar com vista mar que faz de restaurante, não tivemos sorte com a comida. Talvez seja mais convidativo em época alta com mais ambiente. Preço alto só para quem lá vá dormir. Sem pequeno almoço.

Experiência fantástica: Wir haben zwei sehr schöne Wochen im Casa da Capelinha verbracht. Unkompliziert und freundlich. Gepflegte Anlage und sehr leckeres Essen im Restaurant. Und immer das Rauschen der Atlantik-Wellen.

Experiência positiva: Emplacement de rêve au bout du monde, bar restau avec une vue magnifique sur la mer - jolie piscine (pas testée) - environnement vraiment joli- service sympa et personnel arrangeant - chambre propre - douche agréable - nous avons logé dans un studio sur la piscine - les seuls inconvénients : la literie grince et une simple porte sépare les 2 studios, on peut avoir l impression d’être proche des voisins - La cuisine privée dans la chambre est bien équipée - petite terrasse devant la chambre donnant sur la piscine - prévoir de prendre le petit déjeuner dans la chambre ou sur la terrasse car il n’est pas servi par l’hôtel - on n’a mangé qu’une fois au restaurant: poncha et plats simples - et finalement la cuisine nous a été très utile -

Experiência fantástica: Ein guter Ort zum runter kommen. Das Hotel ist in einer ruhigen Gegend, nahe am Wasser und neben einem Berg gelegen. Die Besitzer sind sehr auf das Wohlergehen der Gäste fokussiert und sehr freundlich. Unser Zimmer war sehr geräumig und hatte eine kleine Terrasse, zudem war es außerordentlich sauber. Der Pool hatte eine sehr schöne Aussicht auf die Berge/Küste. Kommen gerne wieder :)

Experiência fantástica: Sehr angenehme und ruhige Gegend. Wer das Meer gerne die ganze Nacht rauschen hört, ist hier gut aufgehoben. Die Besitzerin ist sehr bemüht um ihre Gäste. Zudem ist alles sehr sauber gehalten. Das Anwesen hat ein eigenes Restaurant mit Blick auf das Meer, welches wirklich köstlich und preiswert ist. Hier wird alles frisch zubereitet. Sinnvoll ist es aber eher nur, wenn man mit einem Mietwagen unterwegs ist, da es örtlich abgelegen liegt.

Experiência positiva: Hier drie nachten verbleven. Fijn appartement op een mooie rustige plek. Er leek bij ontvangst op zondagochtend niemand aanwezig, maar later bleek dat de eigenaresse ons geappt had met de vraag hoe laat we aan zouden komen (dit hadden wij gemist). Het appartement werd toen snel gereed gemaakt. Het was prettig en erg licht, met toegang tot een terras/balkon. Het eten in het restaurant vonden wij redelijk, maar niet geweldig. We hebben zelf lekker gegeten bij Restaurant Sao Cristovao (ongeveer 10 minuten met de auto). In Ponta Delgada zelf is een kleine supermarkt met klein cafe'tje met betaalbare drankjes. Ondanks het feit dat het goed schoon was, kwamen wij toch twee kakkerlakken tegen in het appartement. Die hebben we netjes buiten gezet ;-)

Experiência fantástica: Wunderschön und ideal gelegen für einen Wanderurlaub im zentralen Norden der Insel. Sehr ruhig oberhalb des Meeres mit Blick auf die steilen Felsen von Ponta Delgada, welche im Sonnenuntergang rot glühen. Wir hatten ein kleines Studio mit voll ausgestatteter Küche, großer Kühlschrank. Sehr sauberer glasklarer Pool. Absolut Top Preis - Leistungsverhältnis. Am schönsten war die familiäre Atmosphäre mit den sehr netten Gastgebern! Abends ist das Restaurant geöffnet, es wird frisch gekocht, alles sehr lecker besonders der Fisch. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß bei einem kühlen Bier auf der Terrasse. Für den nächsten Wandertrip nach Madeira werde ich die Casa sofort wieder buchen. Danke für die schöne Zeit von Vater und Sohn aus Dresden.

Experiência fantástica: Een ontzettend fijne locatie aan de noordkant van madeira. Het is een kleinschalig appartement/hotel complex met kamers met een mooi uitzicht op de atlantische oceaan. We waren met 2 ouders en 2 kinderen. En zaten in 1 appartement. Aangezien onze kinderen niet groot zijn lukte dat prima. Bij grotere kids is 1 appartement( met slaapbank) waarschijnlijk krap. Het eten in het restaurant was prima. Net zoals het zwembad waar Carlos als gastheer echt probeerde om het zo schoon mogelijk te houden. Met Maria als gastvrouw werd het alleen maar beter. De noordkant heeft niet echt stranden maar als je wilt zwemmen in de zee kan het wel bij het gratis toegankelijke dorpszwembad (50m ? Bad) dat op 4 minuten lopen ligt. Conclusie: Heerlijke plek om de noordkant van het eiland te verkennen en als je gewoon wilt relaxen ook super.

Experiência fantástica: Wat een prachtige plek! Echt een fijn onderkomen voor een vakantie op het prachtige eiland Madeira. Wij hebben vanuit Casa Da Capelinha het hele eiland kunnen verkennen. Het is ook erg fijn dat het uitzicht biedt op een prachtige kust, terwijl je helemaal geen drukte van toeristische resorts etc. in de buurt hebt. De beheerders zijn hele vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen. Mede hierdoor hebben we echt een fijn verblijf gehad.
